Chaise lounge
deb5051  from san bernardino, ca,  Aug 27, 2009
My lounge is not as thick on the bottom cushion as it appears in the picture. Also the back is too low to rest your head. Overall price and quality are OK.

simple chaise
wwbird  from north of Boston,  Aug 19, 2009
This piece is a great example of "what you see is what you get." It looks just like the photo online, it assembled easily and exactly how it said it should, and there's nothing about it I didn't expect. Granted I haven't given it the usage test over time, which is certainly an essential element to any balanced review. But assuming it holds up well over the years, I will be completely satisfied!

I really dislike this chair. It was pictured in an off-white color but was actually an ugly brownish. There were no instructions on how to put it together. It didn't fit together right and one leg hole was not drilled. It's very hard and uncomfortable, the back is too low, the fabric is too loose and the buttons are also too loose. I would have returned it but the shipping charge would have been too much as it is very heavy.

Think through it, but good
bestiosus  from Nashville, TN,  Jul 28, 2009
Overall, we are happy with our purchase. The chair has a few drawbacks, but ultimately was a "get what you pay for" scenario, and we're happy given the price. The drawbacks are highlighted elsewhere in reviews. The biggest flaw are the very poorly constructed buttons. One of the buttons came with the button cover nearly torn off, and the wooded under-button exposed. Another drawback is the very low nature of the chaise lounge. Look at the posted dimensions, then imagine the height. We were expecting something taller, but are again content with what it does offer. Also, it's width is not great and it would be very hard for two adults to be on it at the same time.On a positive note, the color is excellent and works well with our brown furniture and light tan carpet. The material seems durable - not incredibly comfy but great to read a book on alone.Construction was fair. The legs did need to be adjusted as the front and back legs are not interchangeable but not labeled. Some of the screws attaching the back to the bottom did not line up perfectly, and thus the chaise lounge is not 100% sturdy. Its not loose or wobbly, but I wouldnt want to carry it around by its back, or lets my kids jump around hitting the back.We originally wanted a piece from a local furniture store for $400 more. Part of us wish we had just spent the extra money, as we know we would have liked the furniture store piece more. However, given the cost, we are ultimately very pleased with this item.

Value and style
jkr59  from Dublin, OH,  Jul 18, 2009
I have always wanted a chaise. This item has satisfied that need very well. I prepared myself for how low to the ground it is from the reviews and I haven't had any issues with the buttons yet, but I comparison shopped all over and as much as this item costs, I saw comparable for double. The legs are a little tricky to figure out because they don't writre on there 'right rear' etc. But if you move them around and match up the drill holes before securing them, you will find they all work. I am very happy with this purchase. I have it in my library/office so I can sit on it and read and I appreciate that it isn't so soft that I would fall asleep in it, but not so hard as to cause soreness.

its worth it
dancergirl5  from seattle wa,  Jun 29, 2009
This is a nice piece of furniture. It is firm... so, if you are thinking you are going to cuddle up? probably not the one for you. :) The color is nice and neutral. The fabric seems sturdy. The only thing I wil have to adjust are the buttons. They are not sewn on well. NO biggie.... I read that someone else said the exact same thing. Was slightly expecting this.its worth your time.

comfy chair
mummysa  from 40205,  Jun 25, 2009
I love how this chair looks- the shape is clean but not stark, and the fabric has an interesting texture that adds to the room. It is also very comfortable to sit- to snuggle down in to snooze or watch TV, to sit up and read a book by myself or with my two kids, who can fit on it with me. My husband and I can sit side by side, too. And the kids love it- it is a launch point for sommersaults, a ramp for toy cars, a cliff for mountain helicopter rescues. It's stable enough to stand up to all of this, and low enough to the ground that my 13 month old can crawl up onto it by herself, yet no so low that it's uncomfortable for an adult to get on or off of it as long as they are reasonably spry.A few concerns:-The upholstery came with a run in it about 5 inches long and a quarter of an inch wide. It's on the chair back which is covered up by the pillow I have on the chair, so I decided not to try exchanging it.The buttons, as others have said, are awful. When I read their reviews, I thought buttons couldn't really be that much of an issue. But they are knobby and just hang on to the chair by a string. I cut them all off because they were actually painful. This leaves a tiny hole, which is not noticable, and a little ink dot that they must have used to mark the spots for where the buttons were to be attached. The dust cover on the bottom of the chair attaches with velcro so it would be easy, if you had an upholstery needle, to replace these with a flatter and more tightly-anchored button, but I haven't worried about it yet.Assembly was simple and I did it with my two little kids hanging on me. One bolt would not seat properly in its hole and on examination the hole had a metal staple going across it. I pushed this aside with some tweezers and was able to get the bolt placed properly.Overall-- love the chair despite these issues.

chase lounge chair

I really love the chair. It is fun with it's funky, retro pattern. It went together real well. My one complaint is the buttons. When you sit down on it the buttons seem to loosen, and now two of them have popped off from the side where it gets climbed off and onto. We've only had it since February.

the only weird thing are the buttons on the seat. they're not set in so they stick up an move around. you have sit around them to be comfortable. other than that -- love it

Adds decor to room
eztim3  from Houston, TX,  Apr 26, 2009
I like this chair, from a decorative standpoint it really adds to the room. From a functional standpoint, the buttons are a problem, you can easily get caught on them. The seat springs aren't very reinforced but good enough. Overall, nice chair at good value.

My Chaise

It helped to make the perfect "reading" nook. The price was less than half of everything else I looked at and the quality is equivalent.

Tawney Chaise

I shopped for chaise lounges for months when this one became available I was excited. The price is pretty good compaired to other online stores. When I got it my husband said i was tricky to put together . The lounge seems short and the chaiseis low to the ground and the material is not very soft.

Lily Tawny Chaise Longue
faye3626  from Connecticut,  Aug 23, 2008
I spent a lot of time searching for a small chaise longue for my new sunporch before finding this one on Overstock. It arrived promptly and after assembly, looks just like the picture. The color has some yellow undertones, but works well with my decor. It arrived in 2 boxes, well packed and undamaged. It does take two people to put it together. Thankfully, all the hardware was there and, except for the drilled holes in the front not being aligned, it was relatively easy to put together. We were not able to get the bolts screwed flush, however, they have not caused a problem with stability. Its a lovely piece, but the fabric is slightly stiff and the seat is very firm. Great buy. I would recommend it.

love the chaise
dms987  from Gainesville, VA,  Aug 22, 2008
I am still a little iffy when buying furniture online, but this is a great purchase. It looks great in the room i had planning for it to go. The texture is really interesting and looks very very expensive. I assembled it myself (I'm 5'3" barely pushing 115lbs) so it is easy to handle. I gave it 3 stars for assembly because some of the holes where the legs go, were not matching up with the holes pre-drilled in the legs. Other than that, it is very easy to assemble and very lightweight to move around.

Nice chairs

The chairs arrived and they are nice. A little complex to assemble. Also, a little shorter than I thought, but overall, they are good. Will look great with some colorful pillows.

Chaise Lounge Chair
talloo  from bay area, California,  Apr 26, 2008
This chair is a great compliment to the spot I had picked out for it. It is slightly lower to the ground than I expected, but that's ok - it's a nice looking chaise and wide which is nice. I think it looks great for the price! The only other concern was the legs were not identified which were front and back and they look the same - it took a trial and error putting on and taking off plus there was a missing screw.....my friend put it together for me and he made it work.

Lounge Chair
phoenixbuyer  from Arizona,  Apr 22, 2008
It is as described on the website - no bad surprises. I'm completely happy with it. The only drawback was that the parts all came in one large box, which was heavy and awkward, and which meant that the UPS guy had to slide it up the stairs to my apartment. The instructions were easy to follow and the pre-drilled holes were mostly where they should be. Although it called for two people, I was able to put it together alone with only a few bruises and some ibuprofen for my hands after working with the allen wrench. I looked at furniture in several stores, and feel that this is a pretty good deal. I'd buy another one if I had enough room.
