A stunning piece to the kitchen. Perfect size over my double sink...Lovely light and appreciate the dimmer quality for a nice night light. Very pretty and I've received a lot of compliments on this fixture. Good value, nice light

A very nice lamp and makes the room look great. Note that the on / off switch is on the cord and not on the socket. I now have 6 different lamps from overstock.

It's a good sturdy little lamp that looks good on our end tables and provides a cozy look when turned on. The only thing I would change is the switch. It's in the cord instead of the base or the socket. I'm still glad I bought a pair of them.

Bought 2 for my family room and they worked out great. As another reviewer said, shade is taupe but that's what I was looking for. Base is dark brown. Love the pull chain with knob - much easier to on/off than fumbling for a socket switch. Good value!

The lamp looks great, both the base and the shade. However, within a couple of weeks of using the lamp, the switch stopped functioning. When a lamp works properly, you can feel the "click" when turning the switch. With this lamp, the switch just turns and turns but the lamp doesn't turn on. I'm going to attempt to replace the socket (not sure if I can) but it's disappointing this happened so soon after I purchased.

I loved the look of this lamp, but it was so poorly made I couldn't keep it. There were three things wrong: the finial wouldn't screw all the way onto the harp, so the lampshade couldn't be secured; the socket was loose and couldn't be tightened, so every time I turned the switch the socket would move and get off-kilter; and the lamp was constructed so poorly that when assembled, it didn't stand perfectly straight, but listed slightly in one direction. It was a total waste of money and time.

This beautiful lamp came quickly, securely packaged and was easy to assemble. (We already had a light hanging, so it was just a matter of swapping it out.) Once we turned the electricity back on, put bulbs in the light sockets and flipped the switch that powered the lamp, it was breathtaking! This was an awesome purchase! So much bang for my buck! Absolutely beautiful!

When the light first arrived, the picture clearly depicted the fixture as shiny so I was assuming the fixture was a shiny chrome finish although the description clearly states it's nickel. Nickel does come in a shiny finish though. I was disappointed that it was not chrome, but when I looked at the fixture, I really liked it! Easy to assemble and hang and the fixture is great! The shades are a light creamy color-not white, not antique but in between. The fixture looks expensive and is wonderful over my table in my kitchen!

We've enjoyed using these lamps in our home office as desktop lamps. You can switch up enough lighting for both day, late-day, and night work. The sockets accommodate power-saver bulbs (not always the case with specialty lamps!) which reduces the heat and waste. The lamps are substantial; they don't get knocked around when moving items, yet they are portable enough to adjust for different types of work. Shades make the lamps quite compatible with laptop or office computer work -- no glare. Quick to assemble, and easy to maintain or clean.

Had been contemplating buying a $300 plus product from a store popular to most, PB. Hung this lamp from a "canned light socket", with a bracket inserted to hold the weight (per You Tube). The chandelier weighs no more than 5-6 lbs, maybe slightly higher or lower. Crystals took a little time to attach, but not difficult. We bought a fitted round molding to cover hole from the "canned light" we removed (which was larger than the bracket plate the chandelier came with). Love our new chandelier! Also comes in black if that's what you are looking for. We hung it in the dining area! Came quickly & packed well. We also converted our wall switch to a dimmer switch, which means I can "shine our light" on a low setting, just to admire :)

Sturdy, stylish and modern. Kitty says it's not tippy at all on my short carpets ( ;- D) The glass shades add a touch of class. Contrary to the description, mine does NOT take a 3-way bulb; both sockets are for standard 1-way bulbs. Since it has a 4-way switch, you can turn on the upper, lower, both or both lamps off. It works well with a 60-watt equivalent LED or CFL bulb at the top. I haven't settled on a bulb for the lower; 60-watt equivalent is too bright and harsh. The knob for the switch is so loose it falls off easily; haven't found a fix yet, but it's just an annoyance. It's a keeper!

The lamps look nice, but are your typical cheap imitation of finery seen everywhere today. The picture represents the lamps turned "on". When they are off, the shade color is a dark beige/tan, which is OK, but a lighter color would look better in my room. They work fine. I like the 3-way switch. On one of my lamps, the connection is loose where the bulb socket attaches to the base. I don't know yet if I can fix it.

One MUST realize that this is natural slate rock, and as others have written, the PRIMARY color in the slate is green, with highlights of gold. It is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL lamp, and, IMO, worth far more than the price charged. The lampshade has a beautiful faux suede cloth cover. It comes with a flourescent bulb (likely required), which I would toss. I will put a 50/75/100 watt 3-way bulb into the lamps because that is the style of socket switch used. I would highly recommend this lamp. I purchased 2 of them.

OK light, but would think a buy-it-in-store price should be $**-$** less. Has the bare minimum (but acceptable) bottom weight which is not perfectly flat. The cover over the led light bulb is nice. It gives a more traditional incandescent bulb color (not that blue toned light a lot of led flashlights have). Although the switch is small and thin it is acceptable. If you have difficulty viewing the picture, the lamp neck had two gooseneck sections (top & bottom), with rigid portion in center. Disappointed with the cord jack & lamp socket connection. It is fine if the lamp cord does not move (our situation) but if you move the lamp or touch the cord the connection within the socket is lost and the light goes out. Not sure if it a defect or cheap electrical components. The cord SHOULD BE SHOWN in picture since the plug-in-to-the-wall section is approx. 1.75"W x 2.25"H x .75" D (not including prongs).

This chandelier is FABULOUS! I replaced my 1980s shiny brass fixture with this. One of the reasons I love it is because it's not black. It is more like a dark brown which goes really nicely in my dining room. I strongly suggest two things: 1) Install a dimmer switch. It's REALLY bright with five 60 watt bulbs. 2) My electrician says that even though it says it can use 100 watt bulbs, he says to never use those because it makes the sockets too hot and will eventually burn them out. He says it is not a matter of IF it will burn sockets, it's WHEN! He gets calls every week about this and can always predict that 100 watt bulbs are the culprit. It comes assembled which was a real plus. I read reviews on other similar fixtures which said assembly was time-consuming and frustrating. Delivery was really quick. I did not pay extra for delivery, so I expected it in 5-10 days, but it came in 3! Nice surprise. I would 100% order this again! It totally transformed the room at minimal cost. Love everything about it!

The size and color are the same as in the specifications. The build quality is excellent! The shade is real heavy glass, I tested the glass to make sure it's was not plastic with a soldering iron to clear up what another person saying it was plastic. It has two candelabra horizontal lamp sockets that will only except Christmas tree style light bulbs that are placed just 4" from the glass shade. I have not been able to find a CFL smalll enough to fit in this lamp. The light switch is on the cord. The shipping box protected the lamp well. WARNING: un-box this lamp outside, because of the while plastic packing material will fly all over Clean the glass shade with soap and water to get rid of the protective oily smell, also outside unless you do not mind the smell in your home.

This is a very attractive lamp at a good price. The base is a solid piece of marble, heavy to offset the rest of the lamp. Easy assembly. Very tall but that keeps heads from bumping into the shades or having to stoop under them, depending on where you're using the lamp. The shades are not as orangey-brown as shown but more of a neutral tan color, still attractive. The lamp sockets are dual purpose allowing the use of candelabra type bulbs which were included and can be dimmed using the switch on the pole. You can also use regular bulbs with larger bases but I don't think CFL bulbs are themselves dimmable. They are not included. As shipped, the lamp provides plenty of light.

This is more of a satin finish. It is not a polished nickel. It says antique but the picture makes it look brighter and shinier and is slightly misleading. It worked fine in my kitchen though. I have two of these over a large island. They are small and perfect as a pendant light in groups of two or three. The inner part of the light is not manufactured well. The bars which support the light socket are crooked, as other reviewers stated. We have not tried to correct this issue, but will do so when we get moved into our new home and hopefully it can be corrected.

Bought this lamp after I first bought the similarly looking Mocha lamp which seems to have been manufactured by the same company. They both use the same shade material. Noticed that this lamp has a very distinct paint odor when I unpacked it today. Hope it will disappear. Also, this lamp, just like the other lamp, has this ridiculous switch under the shade itself which is hard to reach without banging the shade around. It does NOT have a socket switch as the ad states...would have been nice if it had. Also, both lamps are "so so' in workmanship, I got to bend the finial a little to make the shade sit straight. However, the shade itself is very nice, gives a very warm soft light. Also, shade itself has a lining, hence does not look so cheap as some other ones. Overall, both lamps look good. This lamp looks good together with the other one which is much taller.

Since I have been heavily relying on reviews for recent purchases, I decided to submit one myself. This lamp was exactly what I was looking for and is great quality for the price. Solid study base and glass ball is solid glass. Brushed nickel will look good against brown or black furnishings - gives a bit of an antique look. Have mine in the office with black furniture and looks great! Can't beat the price for a floor lamp. This was also my first purchase with Overstock- package arrived quickly, happy with everything!
