The fixture is very attractive and seems to be made of quality materials. Installation was easy. The light covers are not very opaque, thus providing more indirect than direct lighting in the space we chose to hang it. It looks just like the photo on the web site. We installed it with the bulbs downward, so it works great in that direction as well as how it was pictured. It was packed very well for shipping and arrived promptly.

they are a bit taller than I realized but the color is dead on, perhaps one shade browner, and the shade and finial are lovely. so glad I got these, great to read by.

I ordered two of these for the corners of my living room. I wanted to save the space currently used by two floor lamps (even cheaper than this, but much better looking.) One of the two was missing the thumb screws that hold the glass to the bracket, so tomorrow I have to call the company and see if they will send them. Putting the lamp together is the easy part. I found that taking a nice sharp wire cutter and cutting a point in the end of the lamp cord was much easier for threading the cord through the cord covering than removing the plastic grommets and trying to replace them afterwards. I didn't use the cord switch because the lamps are going to be on switched circuits. Once put together the real FUN begins! First, no walls are ever exactly 90 degrees in the corners and that causes a bit of a problem from the start. However, the bracket that holds the thing on the wall, the main part of the lamp isn't 90 degrees either, and requires a bit of bending to get there. Once that...

This light looks better hung on the ceiling then in the box. It was perfect for our powder room and dressed it up a bit.

  • Not as heavy as it looks

The metal base of this lamp is super lightweight. The strips of metal in the base are not thick at all and therefore it's not quite as heavy as I would have expected. I would have preferred a lighter colored shade, however the shade that it came with definitely matches the color in the picture. I was a little disappointed that out of the box the shade had what appears to be a grease/oil stain. Also be aware that the cord runs down the middle of the hollow body/base...which might be aesthetically displeasing to some. I don't think there's a way to structurally avoid the placement of the cord. I've also noticed that it collects a lot more dust than any of my other lamps. It's definitely an interesting looking lamp, but I think it would feel "richer" if it was a little heavier.
