    I use this heater as a primary source of heat in my masterbedroom, which is 26.5feet x 11.5feet. Set on 75 is often too high during the night when the temperature drops into the 5o"s. I often find myself turning it down to eco setting. So far I loving this little compact but POWERFUL heater. It is light in weight and sized at 13 inches high, 13 inches deep, and 7.5inches wide. Acts as a night light also, because of its bright orange radiant heated elements and blue temperature reading area.

    Unlike the description of whole room heater, this heater is more efficient when localized. Thermostatic controls should help in efficiency but I have found them useless when using this product in rooms even half of the advertised room capacity. This is a sturdy space heater and does not seem to dry out its space of operation. The marketing is a bit oversold on ability.

    I bought this heater to heat up my 400sq ft. studio and to be the primary heat source. Here what I like and dislike: PROS: portable, lightweight, has an eco mode, love that I can time it to turn on before I get home so the studio is warm, easy to operate. CONS: the fan is noisy, make a great sound machine :) Works well as a secondary heat source as it warms up the room slowly (takes an hour or so). I use another wall unit heater to help heat up the studio faster.

    Heater seemed okay, but temperature cannot be set below 59 degrees. This was a problem for me as I needed it to heat a room at around 50 degrees when not in use--which is most of the time. It would have been an energy waste for me. Sent back.

    I originally bought this for my yoga/art space in my uninsulated garage. This worked so great, and I was never cold. On days I didn't want to start a fire in the house, I brought it in, and it only took a few hours to completely heat up my entire house (1,000sqft). Such a great purchase.

  • Does ECO mode only have one heat setting? It seems like it sticks at 68 degrees F.

    • Thank you for shopping with us akariger. ECO mode is an Economic Energy Saving Function. When ECO mode is chosen the heater will consume one-third less power once the room temperature reaches a certain point. The manual does not mention if this setting has the option to set a desired room temperature as the other two settings have. Have a great day.

  • Some of these heaters have a small washable/cleanable filter that you remove and get the dust and dirt off of periodically.. (similar to the disposable filters on the air intake section on a home furnace) Does this particular unit have one of those on it?

    • Yes there is an air filter this needs to be cleaned after 3 months of use. This filter can just be rinsed off with water.

  • I intend to go to North Africa. I have a ground level apartment there, which was very cold last winter. The city circuit is pretty good but it use European 220 Volts. I thought of using this device since its efficient for the size of my apartment. I intend to use a Voltage Converter for the 220 - 110 Volts but I can only use it for 15 min a time. So I am thinking of using them for 15 min On and 15 min Off, to moderate the temperature there since the heating devices there are expensive and not so efficient. Can I program this device to switch off/on in 15 min intervals? Thank you.

    • Thank you for your interest. In regard to this heater, it cannot be set to turn on and off by itself for exactly 15 minute intervals. These units do cycle thermostatically and they do have a timer function. The timer function can be set every time the heater is going to be used and is in one hour increments.
