Purchased this to use in my 5th wheel RV to add a little ambiance and because it is an infrared heater. Won't have an opportunity to test it in the RV until next week, but have used it in the house. It is exactly as described and expected. There are other products that look the same and that are less expensive, but this is an infrared heater and that is what I wanted as it is my understanding that infrared heaters heat better with less electrical consumption. Any plastic on the heater looks like metal and is the same color as the metal so there is no discernible difference. The heat comes out the bottom so the sides, back, front and top are cool to the touch. I actually gave this to my husband as a Christmas present as it was he who wanted the infrared heater. He was tickled that it looks like a little wood stove. All in all. I am well pleased and would recommend this to anyone.Read More
This is an attractive little heater, but unfortunately for me, anyway, it did not work but about 3 days of occasional use. Overstock was very wonderful to work with and refunded my cost and paid for return shipping.Read More
Choices in stores were 400sq ft or 1000-1200.And $$$. Needed in the middle. This is perfect and keeps our 1000 sq ft waiting room & office warm. Lower BTU's, so lower electric usage than for comparable 400 sq ft heaters. I read great reviews & stand by them. Excellent heater., I also bought 2 for home., LOVE THEM!Read More
This heater works well. and looks really good. There is only one thing I dont like, even though the top of the unit is cool to touch , the bottom gets really hot. and I had to place it on top of a ceramic tile because it just seemed to get too hot when it was on the carpeting in the bedroom. Not really a problem... But i did assume that it would be cool to touch all over and no mention was made that it was hot on the underside, but now i know. and i recommended it to a friend who has tile throughout her entire house.Read More
