I also had a problem with a "clicking sound" which is an electric spark caused by objects making contact on the electronic filter. I ran the cleaner non-stop for several days after cleaning the filter and inspecting for hairs etc. The noise has stopped and the cleaner runs quietly and smoothly.

JUST RECIEVED 2 COMPACT SIZE, I WOULDNT CONSIDER THESE TO BE COMPACT , A NICE SIZE AIR CLEANER, IF BOUGHT IN THE STORE YOU WOULD PROABLY PAY DOUBLE THE PRICE FOR IT CONSIDERING THE FILTER DOESNT HAVE TO BE REPLACE WHICH IS A PLUS , SO FOR ITS GREAT JUST RECIEVED YESTERDAY FOR MY SON'S ROOM AND MY ROOM, THANKS OVERSTOCK FOR SUCH GREAT ITEMS AT A GREAT PRICE

I was happy with the size and style. Well made. As far as how well it works. I don't have allergies to compare the air before and after but I notice that although not a smoke eater it does help to get rid of second hand smoke which is a bonus.

great price I live in AZ and we have dust and mold spores, this purifier has helped my breathing immensly. Nice white noise, the fan helps with cooling, the air even smells clean.

I purchased 3 of these purifiers. I have only used one at this time in my sons room.You can see all the dust that it has collected already. I usually run this at night because he is used to a fan running.I would rather this be running now for him. He says he sleeps and feels better in the mornings??? I recommend these Air purifiers.

We bought two full-size units and one compact unit. They are a great value for the money. The effects of having them in our home was immediate. The compact unit, is not very compact-just shorter. I bought it to put in the den and it takes a lot of space on the desk. They also need to be 3 ft. away from the walls , so it cannot sit on the back corner of the desk. My husband suffers from sinus problems and they have been alleviated significantly They remove dust and dander from the air beautifuly. They do not remove odors. You will not be sorry if you buy these units!

Nice machine, seems to work pretty well. It does make some noise, but sounds like a small fan, so if you like white-noise, it's not an issue.

We got the purifier for our bedroom as my wife has allergies. Since it started running, she has had a much better nights sleep and wakes up without a runny nose and sneezing which she used to do (during allergy season). The "BUT" is that like the other reader comments, it has an annoying ticking noise that I can't sleep through. So, we tried leaving it on during the day with the door closed and then turning it off at night. Results are the same. My wife has fewer allergy symtoms. So, its a great machine if you can stand the noise.

I love this air purifier. It is small and compact, does not take up alot of room and cleans the air in a very large room efficiently. I like that you never have to replace the filters, a big savings! Very immpresed with this product

I bought this air purifier because my roommate is a smoker. Not only am I impressed with its ease of use and cleaning; but by the amount of air it pushes around the room and the fact that it helps keep the room cool!!!!!!!!!!

The LifeWise Compact Air Purifier is small but very effective. I have an older dog that is incontinent. The LifeWise Compact Air Purifier took the odor away leaving the air with a fresh smell. The unit is very quiet. I purchased a second unit for my office.

Now I have two of these and one Ionic Breeze GP. The Ionic Breeze is quieter. So if having total silence is important to you, then buy that one. However, the Lifewise is no noisier than my relatively quiet dehumidifier. You get use to the noise, if you don't obsess about it. What I like about this air purifier is that it works better than the Ionic Breeze. It moves more air per hour and will probably work in a room that is 12x12, depending on such factors such as whether you smoke. I needed an air purifier for my allergies and asthma that wouldn't break the bank and this one works.

I don't mind that the noise is loud because my baby likes the sound, but there is a clicking noise from electricity build up that is super annoying. I don't think she minds, but I would not buy another one for my own room.

Small enough to be non-intrusive but moves a lot of air for its size. Very quiet and easy to clean. Its made for an 8 x 10 room but it works very well in a 12 x 12 room. I smoke and am really pleased with its ability to remove odors.
