Make Sir Edward Poynter's Libra and Her Sparrow framed canvas reproduction the newest addition to your art collection.
For much of his artistic life, Sir Edward Poynter, the neo-classical painter, lived under the shadow of Lord Leighton, and as a result his work was unjustly neglected. However, one of his pieces was bought in 1891 for $203,500, one of the most expensive Victorian pictures ever sold at that time.
In 'Libra and Her Sparrow', Poynter's attention to detail, the complexity of the composition, and the rich folds in the fabric demonstrate his regard for the classics.
Libra and Her Sparrow includes a sculpted frame with gentle engravings designed to emphasize the art. The frame also includes a wooden liner with a subtle fillet. The frame color is black with a rich antique gold accent.
Our canvas fine art replicas surpass most reproductions available in the market today. Each canvas is recreated in amazing detail so that even the subtlest brushstroke becomes vibrant. Artist-grade canvas is hand-stretched over wooden stretcher bars by skilled artisans and hand-coated with protectants to insure archival properties.
This framed canvas is being custom built for you. Please allow 5 business days for the product to leave our warehouse.

Customer Reviews
A delightful addition to any wall. Colors are rich and beautiful. Frame accents the style of the painting well. Size and details of art work were as just as anticipated. A classic look and solid quality. A bit of a wait to recieve it, but worth it!
I love neo-classic/pre-Raphaelite art and was so pleased to find this item listed on Overstock. You can find this piece also framed on several other websites for $20 -$40 more than Overstock. I agree with another review writer that the purple is not nearly as vibrant upon receipt as it is on the Internet. Also, even though the dimensions are listed on Overstock, the art just seems small when it arrives. Nevertheless, because I love the art, I am still very pleased with it. It arrives quickly and well packaged as all Overstock merchandise does. I receive nice compliments on this item and believe you will enjoy it as long as you are aware of the color being less vibrant and the size. Would make a wonderful gift as well.

Libra and Her Sparrow is a beautiful piece of art. The intensity of the colors blend perfectly. Bolder colors would be gaudy and less color would be faint. The size is small, but a large version may wash out the detail (like her hands and her expression of being content) which really sets this one apart! I would recommend hanging at eye level where viewers can approach it and view it up close (doing so really brings out its best features.) This is, now, my favorite.

Libra and her Sparrow look perfect in my room. Overstock you pleased me again. All of your stuff is high quality and just as described. She is a gem and I absoloutly love her. Her colors arent' as vibrant in the picture on overstock but I think that is a lighting thing and with the right lighting, you can get that effect however I don't need it because I have an already dark room with darker shades to begin with.
