Just received this bench today. The upholstery (stitching, leather, etc.) is really well done. The chrome, however, could use a lot of improvement. The welded areas have not been grinded down and polished and there are many areas on the chrome that have not been polished properly, leaving flat, unshiny areas that kind of look like fingerprints or smudges. It very much takes away from the simple, clean look of the piece. Since this is going in a dimly lit entryway, I'll keep it, but I'm pretty disappointed in the workmanship of the metal. I think, for the price, it's a so-so deal.
I received this bench quickly, and it was exactly what I had been looking for. I was extremely pleased with the quality, and didn't find it all hard as one of the other reviewers mentioned. It looks and functions beautifully! Thanks Overstock!
This is a pretty nice piece and the photo is definitely an accurate depiction of the bench. I was imagining the leather would be more supple/of a higher quality like most of the Barcelona chairs/chaises I've seen. Overall, pretty happy with the purchase. I think $200 would be a more reasonable price for this piece of this quality. It is very sturdy - not a soft cushion for sitting.
I'm changing my house around and my style has changed some. This bench was my first try at something alittle modern. i am completely happy with it. I placed it in my entry and then in my master bedroom. It looks great in both rooms I will probably order another one or something similar. It came in a slightly beat up box, but it was in perfect condition. I won't be afraid to order form overstock again. My overall experience was simply great.
