It was easy to setup, although the packaging was a bit of a concern. This is a heavy piece of furniture -- mostly due to the tempered glass, and the outer box seemed intact. Unfortunately, when I brought it into my home, it was obvious the internal contents were not fully packed well to prevent shifting. I could hear and feel items sliding around. When I opened the exterior box, I was glad to notice that the glass shelves came in a separate box. Unfortunately, this inside box was damaged, with what appeared to have been a corner of the glass shelves having poked through. Incredibly, the glass was not damaged, although the flimsy Styrofoam packing material disintegrated into many tiny bits as I lifted the glass out. This added some additional cleanup work after removing all the packaging. Interestingly, assembly does not require any tools. You simply slide the metal legs into the metal back plate, and hand tighten the shelf support hardware into the legs and back plate. The weight of the glass shelves is what keeps it all together. This unit looks nice setup in a corner of my lounge, with a small 24" flatscreen monitor on top and AV equipment on each shelf. I like the openness, which ensures plenty of ventilation and easy access.
