We were using leather chairs in our Breakfast Room in our new home. We looked everywhere, with no luck, for closely matching counter-height leather bar stools for the six foot bar in this area. We even looked on all out of state trips over a four month period, prior to completing our new dream home. My wife and I kept looking at these leather counter-height bar stools on the OverStock website and the comments of other reviewers. My wife was skeptical of getting a sturdy and quality looking bar stool for such a good price over the internet without first reviewing up close, especially since bar stools we didn't really like in local furniture stores were much more expensive. I finally talked her into giving it a try, since I was exhausted at trying to find acceptable bar stools from furniture stores, as we had run out of Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama stores (as least it seemed like I had been in most of them). Well, my wife was pleasantly surprized. They were very well packaged, fully assembled as other comments had stated, and they looked great, almost a perfect match (the picture on the site was right on). They are also very sturdy, as I am a big guy, and there is no "wobble" on our stools. I highy recommend these stools to anyone looking for a quality counter-height leather bar stool set (set of 2), at a great price. They are just like the picture, wood color and all (we wanted a darker wood to match our room chairs). I hope this review helps those on the fence and tired of shopping stores with gas at $4.00 a gallon.

These chairs fit very well under my new kitchen counters and match in color almost perfectly to the espresso finish on the lower cabinets.The chairs themselves are light in weight with a soft cushion and look inviting. The leather appears durable with solid seams and a supple feel. The wooden legs feel like they're made with a softer wood so I'm not sure about durability and being able to stand up to heavy use but so far we haven't had any problems.The chairs came in a well packed and protected shipping box and arrived fully assembled. We pulled both chairs right out of the box, set them by the counter, and sat on them. They were ready to use immediately other than adding felt pads to the bottom of each chair to prevent scuffing.Moderate in cost, attractive profile, perfect fit, nice materials and assembly, and packed/shipped well. A good purchase all in all with no surprises or complaints.

I did a lot of searching both on line and in the stores for bar stools. These definitely are a great buy for the money. They arrived together, fully assembled, in one big box and were very well packaged with no damage at all. I was a bit concerned based on other reviews. My only comment is that the description says they are leather but they actually are bonded leather and feel more like the faux leather. I still really love them and imagine that the bonded leather will prove to be more durable over time than pure leather. Extremely comfortable and look great! I am very satisfied with this purchase.

These are comfortable and wider/ deeper than a lot of stools I have seen.

This is a pair of really good looking bar stools. Took them out of package wrapping and they were ready for use!! Nice back height and the foot rest is positioned just right. I don't get why some consumers have so much to criticism about bi-cast leather, it looks fine and I know as long as taking proper care and don't abuse it, it will be perfectly fine at a fraction of the cost. I wish Overstock would sell them individually, instead of per pair, or give options to purchase additional after getting the first pair. Very happy with the purchase though.

We've had these chairs for about 2 years now, which is a good time to review them. While the chairs look nice around our kitchen island, they are not very comfortable, but at the same time, they were not meant for lounging, so I guess it's OK. The nice thing is that the backs are not very high, so they don't stick much above the island surface, which was what I was looking for. The only recommendation I'd make is (and will do myself next time) to buy metal-construction chairs next time. The wood on the legs get pretty beat up and scratched by shoes, and because the wood is dark, it shows. Other than that, everything else is fine, the leather is soft and durable, no damage anywhere yet.

After reading the reviews, we decided to purchase these chairs. We had looked for chairs for our kitchen island for 8 years. We did not want very expensive chairs but wanted leather. These seem to be perfect. We have only had them for about 3 weeks but could not be happier with the purchase. They were very reasonably priced. There was no assembly required and seem to be well-built. They are the perfect height for our island and are very comfortable. We have no regrets in our purchase.

I never write a review...however, I felt the need to. These chairs are very comfortable, perfect size .and rich color. They are a little square and boxy so could only fit 2 of them in my breakfast area but they are beautiful. For the price, and the fact they are leather ..you just can't beat it. Nothing else out there compares,not even the discount stores can offer this great of a price on such a great quality of furntiure. The packaging was insane...took me a long time to unwrap but worth every effort! Way to go Overstock!!!

My husband and I had just finished remodeling our kitchen which included a sitting area at the counter. We wanted a certain look for the stools, but most everything we found was way over our already stretched budget. I decided to try Overstock and was excited to find these positively reviewed stools at such a good price. They arrived on time, fully assembled (always a bonus!) They are well constructed, sturdy and the color is just as I hoped from the pictures on the website.

A year later with heavy use these chairs are in great condition. They are comfortable, and the lower back prevents detractions from our granite countertop. They arrived two days after ordering and came ready to use. My only request would be to be able to order odd amounts instead of pairs as I'd ordered 2 sets but would have preferred 5stools. I have a lot of friends who started using overstock for furniture needs after seeing my brown leather counter chairs. We added a padding to the foot of the legs so they would move easily on our bamboo floors without marking the floor

I ordered 4 stools and 2 out of the 4 stool legs were broken. I contacted Overstock to request an exchange and received 2 new chairs the following week. These stools look great - the design and finish were a perfect match to my decor. The thing is that after only a couple of weeks of incidental use (1-2 times a day for short periods), there is already some flattening of the cushions. The leather bounces back so it doesn't look worn, but when you sit on it, the support is quickly fading. Additionally, despite the amazing packaging on the shipping box, one of the stools arrived with a some of the wood splintered off in one of the legs. It was just cosmetic, so I won't worry about a return - but still, a bummer. A little glue and a dark brown marker and the issue will be fixed. If you will have these in an area where you won't be using them frequently, they're a good deal. If you plan on using them in a high traffic area (eg: kitchen/bar), I would suggest some other stools. I'm happy with my purchase for now, but I see myself shopping for stools again in about a year.

these stools are very nice. better then the more generic ones out there with the double cushion feature. they are comfortable and look great at our kitchen island. we did have to return the first order as the legs arrived cracked but O replaced them with no issues. I would only say that the finish on the leg isn't perfect if you go over with your hand you can feel rigdes but you cannot see any of the ridges..its just the finish. i would recommend these stools if you are looking for decent quality, real leather stools at a good price... can't beat it for two stools

These chairs exceeded my high expectations. I'm so happy with them. They're not so heavy that they'll dent the wood floor, but definitely sturdy. The leather is very soft and I appreciated the sample that was attached so I can match them to other decorating items. These chairs look very classy. I had been looking for counter stools for a while, and just kept coming back to these, and I am glad that I did. I initially ordered two to see if they were as great as they appeared, and they met my expectations! I was so pleased, that I ordered another set! The are easy to clean, I have small children, comfortable and easy to move and lift off the ground for cleaning. I would highly recommend these, the only little thing is that one of the stool legs was uneven, and it was because the cap had broken off. I have yet to fix it since I have not gone to the hardware store, but should be easily replaced.
