Not quite "parfait" but pretty nice
Ordering and shipping were painless and the jars were intact upon arrival. I bought these jars to store sugar and flour purchased in bulk (note: they do not quite fit 5 lbs of sugar in my experience). The dimensions: ~10 inches high with a diameter at the widest point of ~4.5 to 4.8 inches. The mouth of the jar is < 3.5 inches, so scooping is possible with a 1/2 cup measuring cup; this means I end up pouring rather than scooping, and pouring can be messy. For flour and sugar storage, I recommend a wider-mouthed canister. However, these jars are attractive. Ideal use: pasta or beans if you use a lot of beans. Smaller jars would be better for storing raisins, chocolate chips, nuts or dried fruit unless you eat a ton of that item.

Love these jars!
I use these jars for everything from loose tea to oatmeal to pistachios. The closure is very secure, yet easy to open. I have these jars in three sizes. Love them!

Love these jars!
I've never found a classier way of storing beans, rice, sugar, flour, etc in my kitchen. When you have glass front cabinets, your storage options are vastly diminished, and these jars are a great, practical way to do so. The mechanism works well, plus you know that no harmful chemicals are seeping through to your dry goods. Very tough and hard wearing, too.
