  • Nice for small spaces

The teak squares are beautiful but I would only recommended this for small areas. Too costly for large patios. So far it is holding up nicely.

  • Great for Indoor Applications Too!

I had done my research for Le Click Teak Deck Tiles and decided they would be a great application for covering an old 60" x 30" shower base. The Teak wood is naturally antimicrobial and perfect for this application. Of course we plan to completely remodel every bathroom in this 37 year old home but this was a great and quick way to get our feet up off the old shower pan and onto a naturally soothing surface. The slats in the tiles lets the water drain straight through with no problem. We have used the shower many times since installing these tiles. They do not soak up moisture, dry quickly and leave no lingering odor. If anything there is a natural freshness to the room. With these tiles and a quick update of the shower head we have made this bathroom "our own" until we can afford a complete remodel. Even with the old wall to wall, "harvest gold" tiles in this shower, my wife now calls this shower her spa. Even when we do remodel we might have to incorporate a Le Click tile application somewhere. We also plan to use Le Click tiles for a patio facelift this Spring. Additionally the cost of a box of 10 Le Click Tile averages 80 bucks around the web so Overstock's price of $$$ is a bargain! The only negative is that Overstock only has this Le Click "windmill" style available and none of the trim/edge pieces. I hope they continue to get more from Le Click!

Recently one of my friends who is moving into a new home asked me what type of outdoor furniture she should consider for their patio or terrace! She remembered I worked for a *****/**** ********* Company while I was in college and She knew my family had owned a well-known furniture company, and wanted my advice. I advised her to purchase teakwood, as it would withstand the outdoor elements better than any other wood. While searching for Teakwood furniture for my friend, I was delighted to see the Le ClickTeakwood Interlocking Deck Tiles on the Overstock web site. Not only was I able to find my friend some beautiful Teak outdoor furniture which she plans to order when she gets into her new home, I found the answer to having my deck pressure washed and hand painted year after year, which is very expensive!!! After measuring my deck, and reading the reviews other have offered from their experience with the many uses for these deck tiles, I ordered 6 boxes just to see if I was able to install them and how I liked them for my deck. To say, I love them is an understatement!!! I was overjoyed, upon installation by myself, which took about 1& 1/2 hours, and my spouse stated there was only one problem, that I needed more of them to complete the deck project! So I ordered another 10 boxes (10) to a box) to complete my deck project! I simply can't wait for them to arrive. It looks so good, and I can't wait to entertain our friends on my beautiful deck! Thank you Overstock!!!

  • Perfect for our tiny backyard

Just installed 5 boxes, we're ordering 4 more, and our little urban backyard will be perfect. There's a layer of high quality shredded pine mulch under it which turned out to be an excellent substrate for leveling and will make for excellent drainage. Teak has a wonderful soft touch.

I live in North Carolina, where the heat has been 90+ degrees since I installed them and unlike my wood deck underneath the tiles, no I have walked on them bare feet and they are not too hot for this grandma's feet. supergrandma01 on Aug 11, 2014

My wood deck is splintering badly. Can I install these deck tiles directly over my wood deck which is completely outdoors, no canopy. My deck is 25' X 14". How heavy will the tiles be and how many should I order? dotsiegirl on Jul 12, 2014

Answer This Question

Thank you for your question, dotsiegirl. Yes, they can be installed like that. Each box contains 10 tiles. Each tile covers one square foot, so you'd need 35 boxes. Have a great day. overstockcustomercare1 on Jul 18, 2014
Yes you most certainly can install them directly on top your current deck. I just installed them on mine! If your deck is 25X14, you will need approximately 29.17 boxes, so just order 30 boxes. My deck is 12X16 which is 192sqft. So you take 192 sq. ft. divided by the size of the tiles, which is 12X12". Your deck is 25X14 which is 350 sq.feet divided by 12"(the size of one tile) is 29.17 boxes!I do not have a canopy over my deck either, and it has rained since I installed them. You will need to waterproof them as soon as you can with an inexpensive $15. can of Thompson's or Sherwin-Williams waterproof sealant, and the water beads, and they dry very quickly! I am delighted with the look, the feel when I walk on them and all my friends just love them and want some for their deck as well! Enjoy!!! supergrandma01 on Aug 11, 2014

Hello jewels1112, we do not recommend cutting these interlocking tiles. You can consult with a professional to determine if you could make a modification. This would void any warranty or return. Have a great day. overstockcustomercare1 on Jun 25, 2014

I have a two part question. We have a rather uneven square brick patio due to the roots from a rather large oak tree. Could this product be placed over the existing patio? and ... What would be recommended to be placed over the existing patio to even everything out? blueayres on Apr 3, 2014
Subscribe to Answers
Answer This Question

Hello blueayres, Because it interlocks, the product could be used on an uneven surface. However, that would cause uneven locking and seams, which wouldn't be attractive and may be unsafe. You may need to level the patio manually before placing something over it.Thanks for shopping with us! overstockcustomercare1 on Apr 8, 2014

Hello, steveo570. Hope your day is going well. My apologies, again, for the extreme delay in response but we have the answer to your question. The PVC backing grid connects to the surface every 1 square inch with a round foot of approximately 5mm diameter. Within this foot, the stainless steel crews that hold the slats are recessed by some 5-8mm. Hope this will help. Thank you for shopping with us and please feel free to contact us again with any further questions. overstockcustomercare1 on May 10, 2013
The bottom that touches the floor is plastic only and I would thing there wouldn't be any problem. I had one of those membrane roof products and this would be good actually because there is also plenty of drainage beneath the tiles. missforties on May 23, 2013

le click Teak Decktiles can be cut to size using a jig saw and cut through the wood and PVC backing at the same time. Key points are: #1 - screws that hold the teak wood slats to the PVC can be relocated in case a cut would go through a screw #2 - only recommendation / limitation: a single wood slat should always be fixed to the PVC at two points / with 2 screws. Please let us know if you have any further question. overstockcustomercare1 on Jan 15, 2013

A firm level is needed, but slightly unlevel areas are not a problem. The back area flexes, and will adjust to a surface nicely. Essentially it could hold well on a grass surface, but it is recommended that you have an underlayment. overstockcustomercare1 on Jul 26, 2012
