Lazaro Amaral was born in 1962 in Havana, Cuba. When he was three years old, his family joined the first wave of refugees from Fidel Castro's communist Regime, after settling in Miami, Amaral developed an early interest in drawing and painting. 'I've been creating art for as long as I can remember,' he explains. His talent did not go unrecognized. He won a summer scholarship to the University of Miami while still in high school, and was later accepted into the Prestigious Parson's School of Design in New York. Amaral graduated in 1988, and worked as the assistant to David Spada, designer of the world famous 'Freedom Rings.' Returning to Florida two years later, Lazaro has become one of the pioneer artists of the fashionable Miami Beach. Creating art; exhibiting in various galleries around the beach, creating story boards for companies like Volkswagen, Wrigley's, Orbit, MTV, Nickelodeon, just to name a few, and teaching at the Art Center, Lazaro is dedicated to creating artistic excellence.
Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced print making process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original artwork. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors.
