Although this would probably be more well-suited to a smaller lot, it gets the job done on my 1/2 acre + sloping lot. The last mower I had gave out after a couple of seasons. I've only used this one a couple of times, but it seems up to the task.

Other than getting out there with scissors to clip each blade, this machine may be the greenest way to cut grass ever! As a 60s+ woman I was tired of "manhandling" a worrisome heavy smelly gas lawn mower. Since we recently moved to a different lawn and lot grass situation I was ready to make some changes. . Now that we're on 2 acres in the semi-country I do have someone with all the accoutrements to power up and cut the lot but I retain for myself a sweet spot near the garage and which my kitchen windows overlook. This is where I am taking up the old established but weakened plantings to make room for my new plantings. The lawn is a deep lush St. Augustine. The area is about 60x40 feet. The lawn mower purrs through thick tall grass easily. As for assembly...?? No, I wouldn't call it assembly. The handlebar was collapsed down for backing but you just raise it to the height you want it and screw in the large tightening screws. I didn't have to adjust cutting height becasue i...

easy to assemble and cuts my little yard lin a snap. Sticks and small cypress cones will stop the blade from turning- can't whip through like with a regular mower so the abrupt stopping is a aggravating. Sometimes I have to stop and remove them with my hand which is a pain or sometimes they can be dislodged by pulling the mower backwards. Blade seems very sharp and will be interesting to see how long it cuts and stays so sharp. Doesn't give the yard a sharp "clipped" look- stray blades here and there so if you are OCD, may take you a little longer to cut yard and go back over to get it perfectly even. Lightweight too so easy to store.

I purchased this lawnmower partly because of the price and because I didn't want to be storing gas and oil on my property as I don't have a storage shed. It arrived quickly and surprising all the components to assemble it were in the box and the instructions were pretty easy. it took me about 10 minutes to the put the thing together. I sometimes have a horror of these things becoming your worst nightmare. using it to cut my lawn is pretty easy its light and easy to push and it doesn't stall out that much. the start button and the lever are made of plastic which doesn't seem to be that durable so I am not sure how long they will hold up. I personally like my grass cut short and therefore I cut it every week. I am not sure how this unit will run with cutting higher grass so if you buy one I would plan on cutting your grass frequently if you let it go too long you might have a problem. for the price I think this product is a good deal. used lawnmowers on craigslist were more th...
