Mower unfortunately came with a battery that would not hold a charge. However, contacted Overstock and they promptly sent me a new one. I've never mowed a lawn before but new I didn't want to be stuck behind a roaring gas smelling behemoth, hence ordering one with a battery. Lawn hadn't been mowed in over a month and this mower did the trick without any problems. Personally, I'd like to do it "slower", but the self-propelled setting keeps me in aerobic mode. Cut the lawn well and still had enough charge left to tackle another lawn which I'll be doing today. Thanks Overstock I appreciate the prompt customer service in replacing the battery. Only other issue I had, was with the shipping people, who seemed to beat up the box and had to have a neighbor straighten out a bent piece of metal so I could get the handle in the correct position. I'd definitely buy the mower again.

As advertized except is not self propelled as I expected. Easy put together. Easy to charge and maintain. It takes quite a bit of woman power to use the mower.

This is the first lawn mower I ever used, so my review is not based on any comparison with any other model. We are the first time home buyers and this is our first lawn mower. We wanted something with minimal maintenance, and so wanted to buy an electric mower. This one is as cute as it in the picture. Assembly is very very easy. The only limitation is it doesn't come with the cord, so you have to buy your own extension cord, which costs about $25 if you get a good deal. We have a small lawn both in the front and back (about 0.25 acre lot), and I could finish both sides the same day. I didn't give breaks as most of other reviewers mentioned. It worked fine during the whole process. The major concern is that the cord has to be adjusted with every turn, which is a must, otherwise you might cut the cord if it comes in the way. Only because of this, we thought it would be better to get a cordless one or a gas mower, but again those cost more than this mower and needs maintenance too. In Wisconsin, we do not have to mow throughout the year, so I guess this one is good for us. I would recommend this to anyone who has small lawn, on budget looking for an inexpensive mower with minimal maintenance.

I guess I feel good because I am not fooling with gasoline or pulling to start, but I have to say, this is a lot different than a gas powered mower. I kind of miss the power, in that the other mower could take the high grass, rocks, and most anything I mowed over (I live pretty much in the woods!), but this new mower doesn't seem to do as good of a job. If you like to go a lot s-l-o-w-e-r so it works better, it IS a good choice. If you mow everything without really looking, like I USED to, it might be better to get a sturdier mower. I got the extra warranty because pine cones grow large here, and one never knows....if you have a small lot, probably perfect; nice neat grass, good again, but this mower is not what I had hoped. My yard is not that big; it is just bumpy and there are sticks and other debris my other mower handled nicely. This one? Not so much. I like that it is made here in America, I like that it is easy to charge. I like not messing with gasoline. But I want MORE POWER!!! And having self-propelled would have been nice, too.....

The mower really purrs. It is so light and requires very little effort to push. It cuts grass quickly and doesn't require a bag. It's easy to assemble. The height adjustment is very user friendly. .

This thing really holds a charge! It was easy to assemble, and the height adjustment is also easy. Mowing really thick tall grass [weeds] does suck the charge out much faster, but it doesn't just die like a gas mower does.

After using an electric (corded) Black & Decker grass mower for over 8 years, I thought buying another Black & Decker was the right move. I was wrong. I bought what looked like the same model (the green ones) and within a few uses the motor had fried. Figuring that it was just bad luck, I bought another model (one of their black and orange models). It felt cheap, almost all plastic, the trigger/on handle almost feels like you're going to break it when using it. But I didn't need to worry about the plastic breaking because in less than a dozen uses its motor also died. It's clear Black & Decker's quality has gone further down hill and their mowers are designed to not last as long as their early models. So I decided to finally look for an alternative electric mower and I found this Earthwise mower. We got it just a few weeks ago and so far I've been impressed. Unlike Black & Decker the Earthwise mower is solidly built of metal along the bottom (not plastic). The ignition handle is well built, doesn't feel cheap - like it will last years. It cuts the grass well. We have a small yard and was pleased to see that the battery indicator stayed green (good charge left) after completing our yard. Plus the added benefit that one can say you're cutting the lawn with renewable energy (100% of our utility provided electricity comes from renewable sources). Last of all I believe the mower is made in the USA, which is all the more reason to buy it versus the cheap quality Chinese alternatives.

The mower is cordless, electric, rechargable. Easy to put together, no tools needed. 15 hr to initialy charge, my yard is 10,000 square feet, so it's a small yard, and mower only needed the 1 charge to mow the yard. Pushes and feels the same as gas mower. Easy to start, of note, manual states that you CANNOT leave the battery plugged into the wall. Max plug in time is 24 hours, otherwise you will decrease the battery life. Also notes that during winter months you MUST plug into the wall and recharge it every 2 months (saw some other online reviews that had negative feedback regarding the battery and I suspect they may not have read the manual) . Very happy with this purchase.

I just thought it worthy to write a review since I appreciate them myself. I had used B&D for 10 years but had to replace them w/I 4-5 years due to something going wrong. They were a bit bulkier mower but ok. I decided to try this mower almost saving 50% in cost and so glad I did. I love it!!!!! Smaller and compact for moving around shrubs, etc. No problem in keeping power to mow some of my yard's heavier grass. I have a small yard but it mows the entire thing front and back with power to spare. I can only advise you to give it a try as well - good luck.

This is a powerful and great cordless lawn mower. We had no problem tackling the first lawn mow of the season and its even easier now.

This a good little mower but only recommended for small yards. I It takes 50% charge to mow my yard and as you mow it shows how much charge left on the battery at increment of 25%. I haven't take time to monitor how long it takes to charge but I usually charged the night before mowing and by morning it's fully charged. My only complaint so far is that I wish it was a self-propelled mower. Make sure to clean the mower after each mow because lots of grass built up beneath the mower as you mow. I will update my review after collecting more data. I only have this mower for over a month.

I liked the Greenwise mower so much that I bought this more deluxe model for my vacation house. Cordless, no gas/oil, no dragging an electrical cord, self-propelled, your choice of clippings disposal, charges overnight and battery is more than sufficient for my larger front and back yards. Perfect for my needs.

we just bought a house with a small yard. we debated on what kind of lawn mower to buy. we've owned electric and gas power lowers in the past. I kept mowing over the cord on the electric mower and it was a pain having to keep getting gas and also storing the gas. we decided on a battery operated mower. we looked around and this one was the best price. it starts very easily and it's simple to charge the battery. however, you have to walk very slow while mowing or it won't cut grass evenly. it's not that big of a deal since our yard is small. they recommend purchasing only for small yards and I agree. overall, for the price and convenience I would recommend this mower.

This is the perfect mower for our small yard. It came with a back up battery (smaller charge life) which surprised me. This is like having a new lawn toy.

The only problem I have is it is hard to push over lush ground. It is easy to start and to store. It works nicely for small jobs/lawns.

This Lawn Mower is perfect for a small townhouse or house. Is light weight and fast, the only down part is that you need to be careful with the cord. Is not cordless! The price was good.

I have a pretty good sized yard with about 0.25 acres of grass/weeds. I'm able to get through the whole yard on a single charge of both batteries. Does a nice job and the weight adjustment is super easy. Only complaint with it is that one of the bolts for extending the handle together has a machine flaw and I can't figure a way to order a replacement. Had to do a DIY fix on that. But all else is great.

We have been using this lawn mower for over 6 months and have been very pleased with its performance. Arrived quickly, easy to put together and holds a charge to mow the 1 acre of land that we purchased it for. Very pleased with the purchase, and love getting items delivered to my home to reasonably.
