  • Best Space Heater for the money!

    I have a large open basement which gets very cold in the Midwest in the winter. Even though I have central gas heating the basement does not get as warm as the rest of the house. I have tried using two heaters at one time just to get the space about 69 degrees. I even purchased an infrared portable heater which cost more than this heater but still I had to use more than one heater at a time. Well I received this heater and the instructions were easy and all by itself it has heated the entire basement within twenty minute to 70 degrees and within an hour to a toasty 72 degrees. The area that it is heating is about 1500 square feet. I love this heater.

  • Lasko 760000 Cyclonic Cermic Heater -DANGEROUS

    VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE EVEN THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING... This heater would have caught my place on fire had I not been home (normally I left the unit on to keep my place at a specific temperature). It worked great for a couple of weeks and then I noticed it wasn't heating very well. So I assumed I had changed the heat settings accidentally. In turn I had not and decided to look at the unit in closer detail & then I saw where it had charred the surge protector I had it plugged into. I took a chance and plugged it into a different surge protector & accidentally dozed off but luckily this time it tripped the surge protector & shut off. I reset the surge protector & turned it back on. The unit did come back on however I immediately turned it off & will be sending it back. So as a word to the wise DO NOT purchase this unit. It could have caused me to lose everything I own. I would love to submit a picture of the surge protector strip as well as the main end of the plug for all consumers to be able to see.
