    It has not been too cold outside so I have not seen it when I need it the most but my heat is seat for 72 and with the heater just in my living room of my town home, my thermostat says 75!! It shuts off when the house reaches the temperature the heating tower is set too and kick backs on when it goes down.

    This heater if used properly, ie under the required square foot ratio and heat setting, it works great. I have already had it tested for durability because my home had a huge electrical issue and it passed with flying colors. It kept our 200 sq ft room nice and warm on the high setting and bearable on low (when our wiring decide to blow the breaker box). It wont sweat you out of a room and has a hard time warming up a really cold room but it is does a good job with a decently warm room and will maintain the temperature for hours without getting anywhere overheating its self. I also have a young child and she had put her hands on it a million times without getting burnt not once which is what I was looking for when I bought this heater (also an auto shut off/ tip over feature, since my daughter has a hard time not getting caught in cords and breaking numerous plugged in appliances/Electronics.).

    Unless right next to the heater, didn't feel the heat. Purchased it to add warmth to our screened in porchÂ….didn't do the job. So put it in rec room above garage that is cooler in the winterÂ…sort of works but now pass my time to return so will use it upstairs. Disappointed, Reviews were so positive.

    We have purchased this heater, because we did not want to run our house heater all of the time. We generally like a cooler temp, but occasionally a little bit of heat is a great thing:-). So, this heater was used as a space heater. It seemed to heat up a room quickly. It was quiet and had a timer on it, something we liked. It had a rotation option and two different power options. It also had several temperature options, I believe it was from 65 through 80F. But it had to go back. It kept generating this strange smell and I could not be around it. I kept sneezing all of the time whenever the heater was on. Had it not been for this smell, the heater would had been a keeper.

    unit functions fine and heats the 20x22' master bedroom fine. when the arctic cold comes in will maintain temperature and run more, that is expected. had a heavy burnt wire smell for first two weeks using it but has stopped, i was waiting for a fire to start. ALSO, ad states that heater made in USA, it is NOT, sticker on bottom says made in CHINA, the made in USA was main reason for picking this brand. OVERSTOCK must correct this false information. have not seen my electric bill yet to compare to using the propane fireplace in the bedroom. fan is quiet enough to sleep. thermostat works on high only, if you use low it runs constant. if i need to buy another heater of this type will make sure that it is made in the USA. i try only to buy USA products......
