THIS IS AN EXCELLENT FAN! FOR THOSE UNFAMILIAR WITH TOWER FANS, AS I WAS, ONE MIGHT EASILY THINK THE FAN IS NOT MOVING ENOUGH AIR. THAT, HOWEVER, WOULD BE A MISNOMER. THE TOWER FAN, AS OPPOSED TO A TRADITIONAL ROUND FAN, MOVES A WEDGE OF AIR ~42" TALL. THE ROUND FAN MOVES A CONE OF AIR, THAT MAY FEEL MORE BREEZY WITH A DIRECT HIT ON YOUR FACE, FOR EXAMPLE, LEAVING THE LOWER BODY UNAFFECTED. WHEN YOU ARE SEATED, THE TOWER FAN WILL COOL YOU FROM HEAD TO TOE. THIS STYLE FAN, HOWEVER, MAY BE A BIT UNSTEADY AROUND ACTIVE CHILDREN, BUT PERHAPS WHAT FLOOR FAN WOULD NOT? THE REMOTE WORKS FINE IN A LARGE ROOM, AND I LIKED THE TIME-SET FEATURE AS WELL. THE OVERALL ANGLE OF ROTATION COULD BE SOMEWHAT GREATER, SAY 45 DEG IN EITHER DIRECTION FROM CENTER. I CANNOT ATTEST TO THE EFFICIENCY OF THE AIR IONIZING FEATURE FOR LACK OF A LENGTHY ENOUGH TRIAL. A POSSIBLE DOWNSIDE IS THE FAN, REPORTEDLY, HAS A FUSE BUILT INTO ITS WALL PLUG. A POWER SURGE AT OUR HOME BLEW THE FUSE, AND OF COURSE THE FAN STOPPED WORKING. WE WERE ADVISED TO SIMPLY REPLACE THE PLUG WITH ANY GENERIC PLUG AND "DRIVE ON." THAT DID NOT WORK, SO ONE OF THE TWO FANS WE PURCHASED IS INOPERABLE. WE WILL ATTEMPT TO HAVE THE FAN REPLACED, AS THE FUSE BLEW AFTER LESS THAN ONE MONTH'S USE. MORAL-- A SURGE PROTECTOR APPEARS WARRANTED.

Love the fan for the price, but when the ionizer is on for a length of time it makes the house smell. It is supposed to remove household oders not cause them. Now I use the fan without the ionizer on. Oh well, I guess I have to get an air purifier also. I was hoping to get 2 in 1.

We needed two fans for our house...one for the nursery and one for our room since my one year old trashed the old one (it was wobbly and he managed to knock it over several times). These fans seem to be good quality but I've only been using them for a couple weeks now. Color is good...operation is quiet...overall I'm happy. Only bad thing I can say are that they beep very loud when turning on or off which is trouble in a nursery. Overall, I'd definitely recommend the fan and overstock.

I bought this fan april 22, 2011 and it is the worse purchase I made. The fan shuts off, circulates, puts ionizer on and changes speeds all by itself. The low and medium speeds also do not work anymore.

This fan works well and is relatively quite. I have problems sleeping with other fans on because of the creeks and clicks that they produce and this fan runs and rotates fairly quiet. It produces a very nice gentle but effective breeze. Well worth the money and the remote is an added bonus, that is if you don't lose it after a few weeks (but they do sell replacements). The only complaint is about Overstocks shipping of this item, it ships in it's own box which is thin cardboard so of course was in pretty bad shape when it arrived but luckily the fan was fine.

Delivery as usual was GREAT, however, I am disappointed in the fan itself. For as sleek and powerful as it looks, and for $****, it really doesn't blow very much. Even at high speed, I walk about six feet away and get just a very minimum breeze.

looks good, very quiet and provide lots of air flow. However, it came without couple screws so the base falls off whenever I move it. It's too much hassel to exchange so I just kept it. very good fan overall.

Ordered 2 of these fans. They arrived in 3 days. We had a coupon from an e-mail, so feel like we got the deal of the century. I would highly recommend if you need something that you can hear the TV over and very sleek design. Looks like it should be part of the furniture. Very pleased with our purchase.

This fan is pleasing to the eye and functions very well, and is quiet. The only assembly required is to attach the base to the body. The instructions were very clear and it took me only a few minutes. You only need a screwdriver. I highly recommend this fan.

Not worth the money, bearings make noise on low and medium speeds, fan will turn itself off apparently when the bearings get hot

I've had the above fan for a little over a month and it works great. The highest fan setting offers a desirable amount of airflow but isn't too powerful (like a comment I read on this fan earlier would suggest). It's loud enough to please those who wish to sleep with fans but yet quiet enough to not annoy you throughout the day. If you want a nice fan for a cheap price, this is it. I normally don't write reviews, but I figured since Overstock.com helped me save on this little gem, I'd help them back by assisting customers make informed decisions.

This was a college gift for my sister. The remote is perfect for usage from across the room. Works wonderfully, quiet and gives the breeze that is needed. Glad I purchased this fan.

My husband and I stayed at my mothers house over the holidays and she had a tower fan in the spare room. My husband fell in love with it so I bought him this one for our house. We had been using a regular round oscilating floor fan up until this point, and it is no comparision to the Lasko Wind Curve fan. The Lasko fan is very quiet, but at the same time puts out a tremendous amount of air that feels chilled, even when the room is warm. There are various speeds which is nice, and a remote so you can change it in the middle of the night from across the room without getting out of bed. I would highly recommend this fan to anyone for the quality you receive. It is money well spent.

I bought this fan to replace a honeywell tower fan that had quit on me. Tried in vain to find one locally( I mean really, try looking for a fan in stores in the middle of winter!). Checked out Overstock and found this fan. It's a really great fan. It has better airflow then the Honeywell and and is relatively quiet. So far I have not encountered any problems with it and have been using it for a couple of weeks now.

I have 2 off these fans and the only thing I find wrong is when used for several hours the remote functions do not work. Can't use it shut down. Manual function buttons on unit still work. After unit is off a while remote works again.

I had one of these before and liked it so much I bought another just like it. It is used every day for 7-9 hours. Quiet, good air flow, etc. I would recommend this fan!
