    It will not connect. The extension pipe that connects the fan to the base is flaired and the hole won't take anything that has a flair. I bought it early and didn't need it. Now I need it in this triple digit temperature and it is know use to me. Don't know if they will take it back since it has been some months since I purchased it but I am going to ask.

    This fan goes together easy and works well. The only problem I found is that the fan just sits on the pole. If a child or pet was to knock into it, the top of the fan could fall on them. Therefore I can't recommend if you have kids or pets
