I am thrilled with my purchase of the Matte Black 4-light Pillar Chandelier. It has a definite Potterybarn look at half the cost! The fixture arrived promptly and was well packaged so as to ensure nothing would break in transit - I was particularly worried about the pillar shades arriving in one piece - but they were well wrapped in bubble wrap and individual boxes for protection. My husband was able to quickly replace our old chandelier with this new one with no problems. The fixture is well made and looks high end. The color of the pillar light shades is just as shown in the photo - a very pale yellow/cream color. The metal "cage" is matte black as described. The pillar shades allow the fixture to give off a soft light above our dining room table. I'm very pleased with this purchase from Overstock!

I love these lights, we put two over our island in our kitchen. When we first got them out of the box I thought they might be too big but after we got them up they look great. Our island is about 8 feet long and they are the perfect size. Very dramatic.

Just ok- the chain looked flimsy and small in comparison to the large chandelier. The glass piillars were not equal in height. Simple install was great. The light looked unfinished without glass panes. Had to toy with the arms of the chandelier to level the fixtures. Light emitted was nice and bright. The light is very large. I think it would look best in an area with a higher ceiling.

I ordered this fixture because I wanted something different over our dining area. I have not put it up yet as I still need to get the dining set. As other reviews have noted the fixture is big. It arrived in great shape. Nothing bent or broken. I can't wait to put it up.

I like these but they didn't work for my room. I bought two for a great room. They ended up looking too busy for me. But they were as described and good quality for the price. I am returning themand am very pleased with how easy it is with Overstock for shipping and returns.

Beautiful light fixture, but note is is HUGE. I somehow didn't expect the size despite looking at the measurements and unfortunately I had to return it. This would be a nice statement piece in the right room!

I ordered this light and had a professional electrician install it. He couldn't get it to hang straight--it was at a 30 - 45 degree angle over the table, which didn't look good whatsoever. Additionally, some of the lamp holders were crooked--although I think I could have bent them into position. I had read several reviews where other customers had similar complaints, yet others said they had no problems. I was hoping we'd luck out, but alas, ours was one of the crooked lights. On a positive note--it is a large light (bigger than what I anticipated) and it could be quite attractive.

love this light. we just installed a double iron and glass fron door, and i needed an entry hall light that would not compete with the new door. This light is simple and classic. The iron door maker had a similar one, custom made, in his shop for 1800.00. The fixture is a perfect size, but it is difficult to tell from the photo. Just measure and read before you decide. this light would be perefect over a farmhouse kitchen. dining table, hung in pairs overe an island, or in an engry hall. we bought a second one to hand as the cieling fixture in our grey and black gentleman's study.

The chandelier arrived undamaged in less than a week. It was easy to assemble. The size is great over a dining table for 8. It is open and airy. When I tire of the candle look, I can remove the candle sleeves and use clear round bulbs. Very happy with the product and speed delivery.

I've just finished installing this, and I love how it dresses up our dining room. The room is small, so I was concerned it would be too big, but the slightly larger scale makes it look very designer.

good for the price. Though it is metal painted black - not an integral finish, and not wrought iron. It resembles this, but people wanting a very specific look (not painted black) might be disappointed. For me, I was happy that I found something like this for the price. It hangs high and people can't scruitinize the finish too closely. The wattage is very good too. Very often we get lights that don't illuminate enough, and I have to supplement with other lamps. Not the case with this. We use one in our "fancy" sitting room, and another in my husband's office.

The chandelier is poorly made in the respect that the pillars are all lopsided. I knew that was a possibility from reading other reviews when I bought it but hoped the one I got would be different. The real problem is that I think if one tried to straighten them out they would break off. I had thought that if it did come this way it could be fixed but it doesn't look like a viable possibility. Outside of that, it is a good-looking chandelier.

The chandelier looks great. People remark how nice it looks when they walk into the house. One of the rods that holds one of the "candles" was crooked and I had to bend the rod straight. Also, this may not have anything to do with the chandelier, but only a certain brand of CFL bulbs would work in the light.

I shopped around for some time and kept going back to this fixture---I liked the look and read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I am so glad i did--love it! Bigger than I expected, which was great--the candle shades are thick glass and look more creamy offwhite than pictured, also great. It looks great with my harvest table and black chairs. My first purchase from O but will definitly not be my last. If you are on the fence about this light---you will be pleased. It lights my room perfect--not too bright not too low---could not be more pleased and receive complements on it from all you see it. Perfect for those who want a chandelier with a twist.........

Even though I took down dimensions and even visualized it above my dining room table, when it came it SEEMED so much larger! I love this light! Every person that comes into our home comments on it. Some reviewers shared that the chain was a little cheap and they were concerned that it wouldn't hold up. Well, I can tell you that mine is hung right now with original chain and it works! The light is not as heavy as one would think so we're fine with it! My *only* gripe about this is that the center part (that holds the 4 lights) was a little uneven. My hubby carefully bent the metal to get it to sit flat and not crooked and it helped about 90%. Even with that said, I still love it and love that it's so unique!

We are in the midst of a major remodel / redecoration of our main living area. We selected this fixture for our entryway. It looks beautiful! I was impressed by the high quality of the item, and you can't beat the price. Assembly & installation of this fixture didn't take too long and seemed fairly easy. It really adds to the decor in our home and gives a nice, warm, pleasant light.

If having a chandelier that is much different from all your friends and neighbors is important to you, this is the fixture. It is striking in my fairly small dining room and looks fabulous with my black dining chairs. It is large enough to be impressive, but because it is see-through, it is not over-powering. The chain is slightly wimpy; you can swap it out rather easily.

Worth every penny. Easy to put up. Have had TONS of compliments!!

***** use to carry similar light for 300.00. Only reason I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 is because of the chain which is a gauge that is too small for this size light. I bought a heavier link chain for a few bucks and it improved the look a lot.
