  My contractor just installed the Cavaliere-Euro 36 inch Island Mount Range Hood, and it looks very attractive and has good suction. My contractor said it was not difficult to install but required two men when it was necessary to lift the vent hood into place. I was concerned that it would block my view to the living/dining room, but it is high enough that it is above my eye level (I'm 5'5"). Taller people might have to make creative adjustments to raise the level if desired.

  Although it will be a couple of months before we will be ready to install this hood, we have had it out of the packaging and couldn't be more pleased with it. It is not overpowering in size and is in perfect condition after shipping. There is a really good template that comes with the hood and it has proven useful to hang on the wall to get a visual of how it might look. Once we get our tile work done and the ;hood installed, I will update this review. However, we expect it to be fully satisfactory. Shipping was quick and packaging was very sturdy.

  This did not fit my space as hoped. It was 1/2" too tall, had to sand the interior of the cabiniet to get it in.. Not very happy that the dimensions were not standard. The shelves are flimsy and cheap. It was able to function ok for 1 week and the temperatures started to jump all over the place after that. Not sure if it's a low quality gasket or compressor. I'm not likely to keep it if it continues to malfunction

  The product arrived broken due to the packaging for the us mail. I contacted the customer service about the damage and after a period of time they sent me the parts to repair it. The unit just fit in the shipping box which didn't allow for a proper cushion for the beating it takes in the us mail. The product now works fine.
