The globe itself was beautiful...however it had misspelled words such as Mediterranean which began with "Mid" instead of "Med." I had planned to give it to my son for his birthday, but I would be ashamed to give it to anyone. I was embarrassed when I opened it at work and my coworkers pointed out spelling errors. It was a very disappointing experience I wouldn't care to repeat. (The globe was like a beautiful book full of typos.)

Loved the globe. In fact, loved it so much I ordered a second one for a gift.

I am overwhelmed with the beauty of this globe, it is more than I ever expected. I have wanted one for the last couple of years but it was out of my price range. I would tell anyone that if you have been searching for one, do not hesitate to purchase it.

I love Overstock and love the globe. The gift recipient also loved it.

The globe was a gift fo a dear friend he though it was very luxurious. The quality was better than I expected.

I recently received my globe. It is very beautiful the colors are very rich; however I am very disappointed that the Canadian provinces are not named. What is the reason for that? Canada shares a border with the United States. I feel that for the cost of the globe those names should be included.

I bought this globe as a Christmas gift for my friends this year who travel a lot. All I know at this point in time, since it's only been a few days, is that they loved it and thought it was beautiful! They couldn't believe how nice it was and were thrilled with it. She commented that I must have spent way too much money on them. Other sites charge much more for the same size globe. Her favorite stone is blue lapis which is why I chose the ocean background of that stone. Both she and her husband were excited to explore the globe and plan their next adventure! Before I gave it to them, I had opened the box to make sure it was ok and marveled at how big the globe was. I thought to myself, hope it's not too big to go in their living room! I've read in other reviews that there are sometimes mistakes in the spelling of some names but it's too soon to have gotten any feedback from them. When I do, I'll update this review. For now, they're happy campers! I also think that, in the future, I probably will buy another one, maybe in a smaller size, to give to someone else!

I bought this globe for my husband for Christmas. He loves it. It is very well made and the colors are very vibrant. The quality is amazing and it was a lot larger than I had expected.

Absolutely beautiful! We purchased a similar globe years ago when living in Asia. This globe met all of our expectations and is even prettier in person. Nicely packaged for protection during shipping. We are very pleased with this purchase!

I ordered this globe for my father who hss been to 100 countries, but it was so beautiful that I may get one for myself! It came in perfect condition, the lapis lazuli ocean and the jeweled countries were to die for! This is no ordinary globe--it's llike a giant jewel. No assembly, nothing bent or broken--just the most stunning gift I've ever seen. Now my sister wants one, also. AND the overnight shipping really was overnight. My dad was as thrilled as I was!

This is a beautiful globe, brilliant colors, heavy materials. This was the best price I found anywhere!

It is amazing. I gave it to my Father who has everything, and when I visited his House for Thanksgiving, he took me in his office and showed it to me--incredible. Much more than I expected. Seems it should cost $2000.

I received my globe last night and it is absolutely beautiful. The size of it is actually larger than I thought so it is very easy to see the wording and the countries. I have two children and they were even fascinated by it.

The globe overall was very well constructed. I was dissappointed in the Lettering/Labeling of the Globe. The lettering is not up to the distinctive quality of the globe and really does not match the rest of the piece.

I bought this last year for my husband, who is extremely hard to shop for. Right when we opened it we both loved it. The color of each stone is perfect, it is just a beautiful globe to look at. He still enjoys it as much as he did when he fist opened it.

This globe is magnificent...truly, a work of art. I have priced similar items for HUNDREDS more. My husband is a geography buff and is thrilled to have such a beautiful rendition of our world. The bronze stand and compass completes the piece...I HIGHLY recommend this 13" lapis globe. Now I'm searching for the perfect accent table to show it off! ;o)

Shopped for a gemstone globe for over a year. This is the same or better quality than I've seen in any designer store but for about 1/2 the price. No flaws and so vibrant.

my husband always wanted one of these so when i saw this i just could'nt resist! he absolutley loved it.the colors are vibrant and the quality is superb! i gave it to him for our 25th wedding anniversary telling him i would follow him around the world!
