The globe was a gift for my husband's birthday and is even better than I hoped. The picture and description can't do it justice. It's beautiful, well made and the tripod base is very sturdy. It came packed so well that he only had to lift it out of the box - no assembly required. This globe was a special and unique gift and we're both very pleased with how it looks in the office. A definite A+ purchase!

I ordered this globe for my father who hss been to 100 countries, but it was so beautiful that I may get one for myself! It came in perfect condition, the lapis lazuli ocean and the jeweled countries were to die for! This is no ordinary globe--it's llike a giant jewel. No assembly, nothing bent or broken--just the most stunning gift I've ever seen. Now my sister wants one, also. AND the overnight shipping really was overnight. My dad was as thrilled as I was!

I was totally shocked at the beautiful workmenship in this product. When my daughter & son-in-law opened it for their Christmas gift, they were immediately floored at the beauty and detail work of this globe. What a deal!!
If you want to buy a real eyecatching gift for youself or someone else, rush out and buy this. Trust me. You will not be disappointed.

It is amazing. I gave it to my Father who has everything, and when I visited his House for Thanksgiving, he took me in his office and showed it to me--incredible. Much more than I expected. Seems it should cost $2000.

I received my globe last night and it is absolutely beautiful. The size of it is actually larger than I thought
so it is very easy to see the wording and the countries.
I have two children and they were even
fascinated by it.

The globe overall was very well constructed. I was dissappointed in the Lettering/Labeling of the Globe. The lettering is not up to the distinctive quality of the globe and really does not match the rest of the piece.

I bought this last year for my husband, who is extremely hard to shop for. Right when we opened it we both loved it. The color of each stone is perfect, it is just a beautiful globe to look at. He still enjoys it as much as he did when he fist opened it.

The globe itself was beautiful...however it had misspelled words such as Mediterranean which began with "Mid" instead of "Med." I had planned to give it to my son for his birthday, but I would be ashamed to give it to anyone. I was embarrassed when I opened it at work and my coworkers pointed out spelling errors. It was a very disappointing experience I wouldn't care to repeat. (The globe was like a beautiful book full of typos.)

This globe is magnificent...truly, a work of art. I have priced similar items for HUNDREDS more. My husband is a geography buff and is thrilled to have such a beautiful rendition of our world. The bronze stand and compass completes the piece...I HIGHLY recommend this 13" lapis globe. Now I'm searching for the perfect accent table to show it off!

my husband always wanted one of these so when i saw this i just could'nt resist! he absolutley loved it.the colors are vibrant and the quality is superb! i gave it to him for our 25th wedding anniversary telling him i would follow him around the world!

This globe is absolutely beautiful and exactly what we wanted for our front room turned library. We ordered a carousel book stand a few weeks ago and knew we wanted a gemstone globe to sit on it. Everywhere I looked the stands were bright brass/gold or bright silver/chrome. We really wanted a different color metal. This one is bronze and looks great. The US part is also what they called "US divided" which I wasn't sure of from the photo and description. That option usually raises the price.
We love it.!

This globe is beautiful with all of the gemstone presence. I have only one thing to complain about, when I unpacked I noticed that the copper rim that supports the globe is bent a little. It is such a hassell to return that I will just keep it. It's just not perfect like I would want it. Still beautiful however.

This is a beautiful globe. The political borders are not really accurate because the countries are individually done in stone. This is not to be used as an accurate globe but as a beautiful decorative piece.
