This fixture is large. I have it hanging in my dining room and I love it. There is just one caveat, the way it gets put together limits your choices in terms of the length of the rod. Because of the way the pieces fit together you have to use at least one of the shorter rods and one of the longer rods. I thought it would be an either or situation as I just wanted to use one longer rod because my ceilings are only 8 feet. I ended up figuring out a work around which involved cutting and fitting some of the pieces but unless you have the proper tools to do that, I don't recommend this for low ceiling situations. It's probably meant for a foyer with a grand staircase. Either way, I made it work and I think it looks awesome. Also it says it takes a 150w bulb, I recommend using a dimmer with a bulb that bright unless you like living on the sun.

We LOVE this light fixture. We installed it in our stairwell on a dimmer switch and it brings an element of class and sophistication to our home. It's a lot bigger than I realized from the picture - I guess I didn't really pay attention to the dimensions although they are accurate - and with it being solid glass it has a very substantial heavy presence. It was not exactly easy to install being so big and heavy, but that could just be our rooky experience. Also, the box arrived with only two out of three fitter screws (the screws that hold the glass to the fixture). We went and picked one up from the hardware store because we wanted to hang it up immediately, but Overstock.com shipped us a new fitter screw within about a week.
