    My old charbroil finally died on me after 5 years of heavy duty and I decided to try this one bases on the reviews. Don't be fooled, its a piece of crap. This smoker is poorly constructed, and appears as if a child designed it. The door is a joke, it uses a magnetic system door that does not keep the unit closed at all. The drawers on the smoker don't line up and are impossible to close. the bottom draw would not close until i shaved the burner base down.Once the smoker starts smoking the drawers become even more difficult to use. They get caught on themselves and can't fully close. pros: starts smoking quick makes a really good paper weight looks like a real smoker cons: drawers suck door sucks racks suck poor materials temp is difficult to regulate

    long time user of a charcoal water smoker, and this gas-fired unit beats it in every way. extremely easy to assemble, especially with the individual packaging of fasteners per assembly step. love the separate drawers for water and wood chips, easy to reload and preserves cooking chamber heat very effectively. 10 hours at 250 degrees in 20 degree weather consumed approx. one quarter of a 20lb LP cylinder, much cheaper and more efficient than charcoal, and no discernible difference in smoky flavor.

  • Great medium size smoker that's easy to use

    Great medium size smoker. Comes with 4 racks, which gives you a lot of room for food. The burner on this is much better than the smoker I replaced ..it allows you to easily control internal temperatures, and once at the desired temp, stays there for as long as you want. I was able to smoke 4 Cornish hens on a single shelf, and they came out perfect. I would have rated a bit higher, if not for a couple of small dents that I noticed after unpacking (nothing that has any effect on cooking ..just very minor damage in shipping) and the magnetic door latch. You have to make sure the door is properly closed, as the magnet latch is not that strong. I will be adding my own latch that will ensure the door has a tighter seal while cooking. A great thing about this unit is you don't have to open the cooking chamber door to add more wood or water ..the separate drawers for these make it so much easier for longer cooking cycles. I'm looking forward to making many more meals on this smoker
