The valance is beautiful. It is definetly not cheap material. It has a great look of quality. I purchased the chocolate color. The stripes in the pattern are not overbearing. They simply add visual interest without being "in your face". Every other tassle is a slightly different shade of brown.

I disagree with the other reviews. The valances were disappointing- the fabric was shiny and flimsy, and looks cheap. (But the beading is pretty.) Once up, they were "fine". But would I buy them them again? No.

The only disappointment with these curtains is the difference in color from what is pictured. The aqua is much more gray with the blue just being in the check pattern. I love the fringe! very detailed and cute. Overall a great product, but I'm not sure if i would have bought the aqua if I saw it in the store
