Ladderback 30-inch Barstool (Set of 2)

I was needing 30" barstools but having a really difficult time finding the right color. These fit perfectly with my decor. It's a dark wood color that looks like dark caramel. These chairs are extremely sturdy. I have a 9 year old who climbs all over them. I have a friend that is over 250lbs and he always eats at the counter using this stools. The seat is not super comfortable so I definitely recommend chair pads. My husband was able to put all of them together in one afternoon while watching football (we bought 4 chairs). He said they could not have made it any easier to put together since most of it is already built. All you have to do is "connect" the pieces. These are solid wood. No MDF or cheap materials.

This was my first purchase ever on Overstock - I was a bit wary at first, but after reading the good reviews, I decided to take the plunge and order a set (i.e. two) of these barstools. Shipping was speedy and cheap, and the package arrived undamaged. The color and style of the stools looked exactly like that on the website. Assembly was a little difficult due to the slight misplacement of some of the holes, but all the hardware was attached, so that was a relief. The seat does not affix that well to the legs, so some may want to use glue as well - as for me, I figure with the downward weight of gravity, it is not such a problem. I wouldn't want to put too much weight on the bars that go across the legs though, as they would snap easily (I did this to another set of bar stools I had). All in all, the price couldn't be beat, as I would pay that much for just one stool at other vendors. And I liked that I got the product within a week of ordering, as often at big chain furniture wholesalers, they don't have stock on hand and you have to wait forever. I will buy from Overstock again.

We ordered 2 sets. The stools came very quickly. My husband had a little trouble securing the seat on one as it seem the holes were not drilled precisely. This is the only complaint I have though. It was just more of an annoyance and he was able to figure something out. The stools are sturdy and very attractive. They look almost identical to some stools I had seen in the Pottery Barn catalog but were about 1/3 of the price. Plus the shipping was free. Love them and would recommend them. You won't be sorry.

I was a little skeptical at the order but when they arrived, and I assembled them I was proud and pleased. Well worth the money.
