It took us a while to assemble, probably due to also watching the 49ers game. Every piece was clearly marked and the instructions were easy to follow. A more astute assembler would have taken less time than we did - it took us about 5 hours. The console has a clean and elegant look, and the workmanship is surprisingly good considering the price - a solid piece of furniture. It was all that I expected it to be and more.

Love the look of this console. The sliding doors and drawers work well/smoothly.The only problem was, one of the side boards had a predetermined hole that was not deep enough and we needed to drill the hole so it was deeper. This way the piece could be more taut. Every time I look at this console, it makes me happy.

I've had this product for about 3-4 months. Perfect is the best way to describe this piece of furniture! The deep espresso brown color complements several color palettes and with its minimalist design, this piece is definitely cross cultural in its appeal. From Asian to Scandinavian to tribal to contemporary themes, you'll be able to truly work with this piece! If you choose, this piece can as a buffet sideboard and even used to store that "once a year" dining wear. The workmanship is quality. The assembly instructions were very literal. I had no problems putting together. Pieces fit together perfectly, not tugging, tweaking, etc. Just take your time and you'll be fine. The sliding doors... smooth! The drawers are deep, and open/close well. This was my first purchase from overstock, so everything from ordering to delivery was A+!

This entertainment for was just what we were looking for, and overall, we couldn't be happier. Other units we considered were: 1) A lot lower to the ground,which would have meant going through the hassle of wall mounting the TV, but with this unit our 42" LCD is at the perfect height for viewing 2) Were the right price, but did not have this contemporary look/were made of cheap material-- this has the look and is a heavy, solid piece of real wood furniture and/or 3) Had a similar look to this unit/style but with a MUCH higher price tag. Also note that on the shelf side, the back of the shelves and the unit have a space to drop all the wires down to keep things organized and clean looking. And the drawers are HUGE-- just one held all the DVDs from our old DVD tower! We put ours in a nook, so the back of the unit is not exposed-- but be aware that the back is seriously a large piece of particle board (or really thin, flimsy wood) with a giant piece of packing tape across. Three of the pieces came with cracks in them-- not sure if this was a workmanship issue or a shipping issue (the boxes were really beat up when they arrived). One was only slightly cracked (still noticeable though)-- but it was the side piece and you can't see it when it's put together. The other 2 were of more concern, since they were part of the drawers-- didn't feel like shipping back so just used some gorilla glue on them & worked fine & can't see them. Lastly, assembly takes a LONG time. There were two of us & it took over 4 hours!!! These are minor issues, though, and wouldn't prevent me from ordering again or recommending this unit to others-- it really is a stunning & practical piece!

I have been looking for a TV stand that would reflect me, the minimalist that I am. I read the reviews and wondered should I? I went back and forth on my decision but what a great decision. It looks great, its rich, its sturdy, it holds everything and most important it makes my apartment look clean.

I have been looking for a console for my 52 inch for months... This item is more beautiful and perfect for my modern/contemporary townhome than anything I found! It leaves just enough space for a vase on each side of my TV. It has an expresso/dark brown finish. Comparable items from popular contemporary furniture stores was $1200 to $5000.... and this one is much sturdier! The slides on the doors have a metal groove, and the doors slide without force...the comparables I found had wood grooves and the doors kept falling off, so I was so happy when I opened the box and saw the metal slides. The directions were not too hard to follow, and I put it together all by myself. YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS PURCHASE! It could also work as a buffet, since it does not have that "built for a TV" look.

I was hesitant to spend this much money without actually seeing/feeling the quality, but I was NOT dissappointed. The drawer slides are so smooth...I am amazed. I needed help to assemble (I'm not sure how that 5'2" lady did it by herself), but all the pieces fit together like a glove. It is VERY heavy and doesnt have anywhere to "grip" so it was difficult to move into the right position even with man help! Oh, it smells good too.

This piece is amazing! Price is much cheaper than it should be. Don't hesitate for one second to order this entertainment center. I was able to put this together myself at 5'2 and 100 pounds, but would be much faster with help.

I had been looking for an entertainment console of exactly this size, and was excited to finally find one. It came in several boxes and took quite a while to put together, but the directions were straightforward and the parts clearly marked. I had not expected to find the console I wanted at this price and overall it was an ideal purchase.

We love the look of this console. It appears to be very high end. I wouldn't trade it for the consoles that we've seen for over $2000. Although the directions were fine, it was still time-consuming and took two people to put together. Overall, I would definitely recommend this piece.

Although a little pricey, great entertainment center with plenty of space for components and media storage. Looks great beneath my plasma. Solid wood construction. Color is dark expresso as pictured. Although somewhat time consuming (i.e., 2 hours) to put together by oneself, the directions were easy to follow. Highly recommend.
