Seconds?
Some of the bowls have air bubbles in the glass. There are no manufacturer's marks stamped or embossed in the glass, as one might expect a longstanding French glass manufacturer to put on its products. However, these bowls are keepers, because they are microwaveable, dishwasher safe, and sturdy. My stoneware dinnerware came with narrow, deep bowls that don't work well for salads and pastas. For this purpose, these clear, shallow bowls sit nicely on and complement the pattern of my stoneware plates.

Simply Delightful!
I am pleased with my purchase of these pasta bowls. The smaller size helps in portion control. The coquille motif makes them perfect for serving sea food pasta as a second course to a full course dinner; or a luncheon/supper. They remind me of many romantic evenings spent dinning on the Mediterranean seaside. They are sturdy, and should be used as every day ware. They can be used for more than simply pasta; to that affect, they are utilitarian as well. One caveat; these are not American style (large) pasta bowls. These are proper sized pasta bowls.

Good value
Nice detail and value. The detail work on the glass is balanced by the quality of the glass. At first my husband was wary of the bowls that I selected, but now that they are here - he loves them. I think it's that these dishes are solid in structure (i.e. the glass isn't overly dainty so he doesn't have to worry about using them.) Received several compliments on them; even the in-laws liked them. They are great for soups, stews, pastas, etc. We've gone on to purchase other La Rochere from O as a result.

great looking bowls
I have been looking for some salad bowls that make a statement for a long time. These do just that. Love them and the price is great. The no shipping cost really makes a difference.
