La Rochere has been making traditional French glass ware since 1475 and is the longest continuous running glass factory in Europe. La Rochere still produces their historic decors including their most famous and exclusive decor Napoleon Bee using old world techniques of pressed glass molds with the traditional seams and extra sturdy and heavy glass, producing not only beautiful but sturdy glass in the historic and traditional methods. This is a clasic sturdy pressed glass. The glass has a nice foot so that they stack neatly on the shelf. I love the look for a water glass on the table, very provincial. The glass is also smaller at the bottom great for little hands.

Great juice glasses...nice round base with old world charm. Every time anyone uses a glass they comment on the bees. The only glass that I've ever had that made someone smile. The glasses are used every day.

Bee glasses
I've loved these glasses for some time and finally when they went on sale bought them. I think they are really overpriced but had to have them anyway. I was so proud and happy with them and the cute little bees on them until an elderly friend asked why I had bugs on my glasses! Oh well, not meant for everyone I guess.
