The way the other reviewers were raving, it almost makes me feel like those reviews were planted. The fixture is OK, but it's not great. The quality is average, and the finish is kind of cheap looking. It's difficult to get all the glass globes to sit level. I do a lot of home improvement projects and am a good judge of quality--I was not terribly excited about this. It was, however, descent enough for the money that I did keep and install it. I'll live with it for a while, and if something better comes along, i'll just dump it cheap on craigslist.
I froogled this product before I bought, and was convinced to buy because it was twice the price at many other websites--made me think it was an exceptional buy. Something fishy about that too--this light is barely worth the two-twenty-five I paid for it, let alone the fivve-hundred it's listed for on amazon, etc. I wonder if some clever marketing person is planting higher prices on other websites to make the O.com price look exceptional. Conspiracy theory? You be the judge....
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Sort of cheesy painted/splatterd bronze finish
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. similar to mid to lower end fixtures you'd find in this price range at the big box stores
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? reasonably accurate, but the reviews were a bit over the top
