I have ordered one of these A/C units in early spring anticipating a hot summer. Unit worked excellently and although the initial cost was a couple of dollar more then in the big box store, it is a better quality A/C unit, purchased with not tax, almost free shipping and delivery to my front door those few extra $$$ were easily absorbed and justified. Bought another one mid-summer!!!!

    Had to replace 2 seperate 5000 units with 2 months of each other (Walmart) both failed. I opted for a larger unit as the past two months have averaged 105+ here in TX and this unit does the job with BTUs to spare. It was "refurbished" and wouldn"t have noticed if the foam strips and mounting brackets were missing. It looks new and performs Great.

    I had bought a smaller rebrubished LG model and had to return it because of malfunction so I was a bit nerviou about this one, but it works beautifully. The thermostat is acurate and it does a very good cooling job. My only mild compalins are that the motor/condenser could be quieter and a slight rattle in the front panel could only be corrected with something wedged to quiet it.

    Knowing that this is a refurbished product I was not surprised or distressed that there a few nicks and dents in this unit. I was happy with the delivery service in which I got a call telling me which service would be contacting me and when. I got the call and set up a time and day and got prompt curteous delivery. I can not say in the long term how these ac units function having only recently recieved and installed them but they appear to work well and quietly. I ordered two. I bought a refurbished microwave last year and it looks and works great
