Customer Reviews
This product was a good price and well rated in CR. I have only owned for 3-4 mos but runs well. I run it almost constantly. I did not rate durability as I have not owned long enough to say.
Been using this for almost a month. Seems to pull the moisture from the basement very effectively. Very easy set up. Waiting to see about longevity. I have had Kenmore dehumidifiers before, one lasted 15 years and the other 5 years. This unit is an LG but looks very similar to the Kenmore that lasted 5 years. I only use it in the summer months. Hoping for at least 10 years??
the unit came quickly. set it up in the basement with no trouble.. Works fine. Personally I don't like having to empty any dehumidifier but once we were sure it works, we'll hook it up with a hose straight to the sump pump. Bought a second one today. Big basement!

Like other reviewers, out of the box, the unit would not shut off and overflowed. The problem is the water level sensing switch float is binding with water level cut off switch when the bucket is placed in position. The switch operating lever is positioned too high in the water level low position (with an empty bucket). I fixed my unit by adding a few layers of tape to decrease the float travel when the bucket is empty (how much the float hangs down) but you shouldn't have to correct a problem like this on a refurbished unit.
