Buyer Beware I would like to let you know to beware on buying this product. When we first got this AC unit in April 2011 it did not seem to work all that great but it worked. Recently it has not been cooling our bedroom. Just last night we got a E3 error. Contacted overstock and they told me to contact LG. when I did they told me that the error means that it would need to be serviced. When they looked up the s/n they said the unit was service before and the warranty was used. They said I would have to pay for repair. I have only had this unit for 4 months. And now I am out the money I paid for it. So I must say buyer beware.

Do Not Buy! This thing is a joke, more like an expensive fan than an air onditioner. If you want to spend every night dragging this unit outdoors to empty the water that keeps filling up (if you try to empty it from the spout, it omes out all over the floor instead from every vent opening), if you want to burn electricity but not cool atiny room but about 1/2 a foot away from the unit, and if you don't want to be able to hear yourself think (it's loud!), then buy this. I even called a local chain home store and asked their a/c guy about this (they carry it, too), and he said it's junk and he doesn't know why stores still carry it. So be warned..!

Perfect Air Conditioner After doing a lot of searches for portable air conditioners, I found this one and the specs looked good enough. Ordering was fast, set up was super easy, and the air is SUPER cold. It's been running for about a month and we've only changed the water once. A lot of reviewers say it is loud but its no more louder than other air conditioners, not something you would notice if you weren't trying. Hello cantica! This air conditioner has received excellent reviews! The unit has casters/wheels on the bottom which will make it easy to move over hardwood floors and carpet. If you want to move the unit up and down the stairs, there are convenient handles on the sides of the unit which they can use to carry it. However, the unit is somewhere around 60 lbs, so we wouldn’t recommend you do it alone unless you are confident they can lift the unit up or down a flight of stairs. I have a window that slides from side to side, not up and down. Will the window kit still be compatible?

Yes absolutely the kit is about 5 inches wide and it has tubing that reaches up to it the tubing just clicks into a hole in the kit. You don't need anything special to put the kit in either. I use this in a window that doesn't open side to side or up and down but outward and it still works great for that
