Hi. I purchased one of these about four years ago. It is so quiet and does a great job cooling. I bought two more (LG 8000 & LG 13200) this spring and the deterioration in construction quality is quite noticeable. Although the compressor still runs quietly and cools effectively, the unit creates an unlimited number of vibrations. Even a service call could not eliminate all of them. I must have a dozen pieces of foam stuck in between the front plastic grille and the unit itself to stop the vibrations. The technician himself said every time he resolved one of the vibrations, another one started.
