This is the best a/c on the market. It is quieter than any other a/c, and on low settings you can barely hear it. Also a quality product: it is powerful, attractive, and low on electrical useage. Overstock.com has the best price anywhere on this item which is sold elsewhere from $100 to $300 more than Overstock.com's price.
I bought this for my daughter's room who, for some reason, has the hottest room in the house and the central air just was not enough. It is small enough and pleasant enough to look at and very quiet. It does the job and we are both happy now. Her room is cool and the rest of the house isn't freezing!
After ordering this from a competitor (and it arrived damaged), I ordered this refurbished model and it came in 3 days (before the other was picked up!). It was pack very tightly. There is not way this one could have come damaged (unlike the competitor where it could not help but arrive damaged the way it was packed).I was able to install this myself and it works very well. I knew that 6000 BTU was a bit small for my space, but this little guy seemed to do the trick on the first heat wave of the summer.Very good.
This unit was easy to install and works very well. Other reviews said it was noisy but if you like a little "hum" when you sleep , this won't bother you a bit. Really, this is a very nice low profile AC.
this model is light weight, fairly easy to install and runs quietly. wings on each side of unit which close off the sides of the window are not insulated and will allow heat and air leakage. has not yet been tested in hot weather.
