Live in south Texas where it's always hot...or nearly always. Our central air died and has to be replaced, which we will do in the spring. In the meantime, wanted a unit for the bedroom on those days in December that are pretty warm. Looked everywhere, but they are "seasonal" and couldn't find one. Then thought of good ole Overstock. Found this unit and ordered one. Sleeping like a baby again. Took my husband about 30 min to install, took a few hours to cool the room down, and now very comfortable. Will probably use the unit at night even when we replace the central unit so that we can leave the temp higher in the rest of the house. Prob could have used a slightly larger unit for the size of the room, but still pleased with the results.

This unit replaced a pricey portable air conditioning unit. The LG cools the room faster and is whisper quiet. Also my goal temperature can be much lower and is achievable. I would definitely recommend this unit. I wish this had been available when I purchased the portable unit as I would have saved a few hundred dollars.

This is the best a/c on the market. It is quieter than any other a/c, and on low settings you can barely hear it. Also a quality product: it is powerful, attractive, and low on electrical useage. Overstock.com has the best price anywhere on this item which is sold elsewhere from $100 to $300 more than Overstock.com's price.

I bought this for my daughter's room who, for some reason, has the hottest room in the house and the central air just was not enough. It is small enough and pleasant enough to look at and very quiet. It does the job and we are both happy now. Her room is cool and the rest of the house isn't freezing!

After ordering this from a competitor (and it arrived damaged), I ordered this refurbished model and it came in 3 days (before the other was picked up!). It was pack very tightly. There is not way this one could have come damaged (unlike the competitor where it could not help but arrive damaged the way it was packed).I was able to install this myself and it works very well. I knew that 6000 BTU was a bit small for my space, but this little guy seemed to do the trick on the first heat wave of the summer.Very good.

This unit was easy to install and works very well. Other reviews said it was noisy but if you like a little "hum" when you sleep , this won't bother you a bit. Really, this is a very nice low profile AC.

this model is light weight, fairly easy to install and runs quietly. wings on each side of unit which close off the sides of the window are not insulated and will allow heat and air leakage. has not yet been tested in hot weather.

Product was a gift for my parents in Indiana. This item required a signature at delivery. If this had been included in the description, arrangements could have been made to avoid redelivery. Product fits nicely in their guest bedroom window and they are happy with the air conditioner.
