LG 11,700 BTU Through-wall Air Conditioner (Refurbished)

For a refurbished unit, this AC works extremely well, for new or refurb actually. Used last summer and was thankful everyday for having bought it. Cooled my large living room and kitchen area in less than an hour on a hot, humid day. Would wrap myself in a throw blanket while it was 90+ degrees outside. Bought the platinum protection plan for 3 years. We'll see if the unit lasts through another long summer. Not a loud machine if propped correctly at a slight angle. Very satisfied so far...

I received the air conditioner very quickly. The installation was easy and pretty quick. After installing, I turned the unit on and it worked. Later that day I tried to lower the temp. setting and found it would not go lower. It would go up, but not down. I had to turn the machine off and unplug it, then plug back in and power up. That reset the machine to 72 degrees. I tried it again and got the same results. I put batteries in the remote and found that didn't work at all. Also, one of the 3 clips on the front cover came broken off. Next week a service man is coming to fix the issues. If everything gets fixed, I still got a good deal seeing that it was a refurbished model. However, I thought a refurbished model was completely checked over at the factory to make sure that everything was working and not broke. I guess I was wrong.

A good through wall A/C unit, cooling is fast depending on your room size. The frame it comes with makes the installation look clean. Bought the extended warranty since this is a refurb unit. So far so good.

It works for what I needed it for. No problems except I didn't realize it was a 220V unit. But I ran a line to it pretty easy.
