The unit is perfect for what we need it for, but I wish it had been more clear about the sleeve being sold separately. The unit itself is awesome.

If I have choice of providing no star to this item, I would. I made the purchase because of the price, and was only expecting minor aesthetic problems like the the items in Sears outlet. I was WRONG. The first AC arrived with bent condence coil and blocked vent in the back. I asked for a replacement, and it arrived - defect again (front switch for air direction is not working) and even worose - the wrong item (it's an AC without the heat)!!!! I just return the unit. I would buy from OS again because of the good customer service, but I probably would not buy another big ticket item like this from OS, especially if it's refurbed.

I purchased this for my living room. (which is not large)Fit in my window just fine. In order for the compressor to turn on I have to keep the thermostat set at 66 degrees. w/out the compressor there's just tepid air blowing out and w/out all much force. Fan is wimpy. Not very happy with it. Even in 80 degree weather have to keep it running almost constantly. I admit that I do like to keep the room around 69 or 70 degrees.

I ordered two of these. Both came without the metal sleeve that comes with every new unit. This does not qualify as refurbished since they put down (optional sleeve) in fine print. This also made the size of the opening we prepared for the units a different size and had to be re-done.
