I did quite a bit of research before choosing this particular juicer and definitely used others' ratings to finalize my decision. From what I learned, this is one of the best juicer types out there (centrifugal) and it has proven that as we continue to use it. The parts that aren't stainless (e.g. everything other than the internal blade/screen and its housing) are made of sturdy/thick plastic that should stand the test of time. Although cleanup is relatively easy, I recommend always using mild soap to remove juice 'staining' that could easily build up over time.
All in all a great juicer. It makes quick work of even the hardest vegetables (beets!) and works well with everything we've thrown at it (or should I say in it!) thus far.

I juiced carrots, celery, apples and pears as soon as I got this Juicer. This juicer really did GOOD job. I know this juicer is like a typical juicer, however I found its looking was Great with stainless steel components when I opened the gift box. My first impression couldnt be better.
As soon as I opened it, I couldn't wait to try out the machine so I ran to the store and bought fresh carrots, celery, apples and pears. This juicer worked very well. Drinking fresh juice always makes me feel good! I'm writing because I'm so satisfied with what I bought. Highly recommend it!

How accurate was the on site description of the product? its true. It has real stainless steel!
Was looking to replace my previous juicer which I burned out last summer juicing raspberries. I do a lot of canning, make loads of jams and jellies, etc, so good appliances are absolutely vital for me. Had seen some great juicers that were as costly as three or four hundred dollars, when I saw this one on the website. Sounded perfect and turned out to be all of that! Gets every bit of juice from food, cleans up easily, and runs well. Will see a lot of use in my kitchen, and recommend you try it in yours as well.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Exactly as described

This juicer is what I expected, fast! I bought this juicer to go on a diet, but I needed a juicer that would not take all morning to use. I know there are many different juicers out there and a friend of mine recommended couple of different models. I think for juicing you got to be realistic with time and effort otherwise you'll never use it. This Kuvings juicer is quick to juice, quick to clean, and the juice tastes great, enough said.
Received VERY quickly, and so far it seems to be an excellent juicer! Instructions were clear, and I was up and running in no time. If you aren't one to read instructions, please know that you need to make sure all the parts are lined up before you look it into place, or you could break the juicer! Worked quickly and flawlessly on carrots, apples and spinach...pulp was very dry. :) Lots of parts to clean, but you'll have that with any juicer. At least it was easy to clean, with brush included. Centrifugal juicers are the best in my opinion, and this one lives up to the stereotype!
Was looking for a powerful juicer that was also well built and easy to clean. The Kuvings NJ-9500U Juicer fit the bill perfectly. I expected to pay closer to **** and was pleased that it did not cost nearly that much. Very satisfied customer!
Easy to load - large enugh that you don't have to cut up vegetable/fruits. Easy to clean after juicing - mostly just rinsing out - but a brush comes with the unit that works extremely well in cleaning screen. I considered several brands of juicers and feel quite happy with my decision of the Kuvings, especially for the $. I'm still new to juicing but becoming a devotee. I think this was a very good decision on my part. Arrived quickly, being a member of "O" saved me any shipping costs. I always check Overstock first when in a buying situation.
I've only used this juicer once since I've received it last week and I can already tell that it is a superior juicer compared to those that I have had in the past. Based on the dry composition of the fruit and vegetable particles in the waste bin, it is extracting way more juice than any other juicer I've had. It is solid, not too noisy, easy to assemble, and easy to clean, (which is of great importance based on my past experience with juicers). I juiced beets, carrots, apples, and kale together and it turned out great. You don't need to cut the items into small pieces; in fact, it's better to leave them a little larger, as long as they fit into the tube. My only complaint would be that the instruction booklet enclosed was very basic and not very informative. It did not give a lot of information about what you could juice, how to insert the items, what size they should be, and what type of fruit or vegetable works best, etc., so for the novice juicer, it could be a little daunting. That's my only negative comment about it, but I feel that it is important information to provide for the first time user for safety concerns.
The thing gets the juice out but sometimes larger than expected chunks end up in the solid collector area. I am new to this juicing thing and have only been using the juicer for a couple of weeks. The last 6 days all I have eaten has been through the juicer. It has really done me good. I have yet to use a recipe from a book I am just tossing stuff in.
i've never juiced, so this might seem silly. the big black part-is that where your juice fills up? trying to figure out how much i can make at once.tbrown2013 on Mar 19, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for shopping Overstock.com. The part that you are refering to is where all the ground up parts of the fruits and vegetables go so you can discard it. The juice will immediately begin to pour out the spout on the right side of the juice extractor. Welcome to a whole new world of getting the best out of your fruits and vegetables. overstockcustomercare1 on Mar 21, 2013
No, it comes out of the spout (on the right of the picture)cowphunk19 on Apr 24, 2013
The little pipe coming out the other side is where the juice comes out. The big black thing collects all the solids after the liquid has been spun out of it. An 8 Oz glass fits under the spout well and then I poor it into bottles with corks for storage. I don't juice more than I will drink in one day.outnokc on Sep 27, 2013

Has anyone tried juicing small fruits - like berries, grapes and pomegranate? I read a review on a different juicer that indicated some models don't do well with smaller fruits. Just wondering about this one.louisianaladydi on Jan 16, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
