I've owned other Krups products, and was suprised at how quickly this machine quit working. It makes good espresso, with nice crema, but only lasted me about 6 months before it quit working. The unit is loud, as some people complain, but not AS loud as some claim. I've been just as happy in the past with a $40 ***** unit as I was with this, in fact ***** is the next purchase I will make. Sorry Krups.

This model is a refurbished one (90 day warranty) so I it's possible the "new" ones are great! The frother works wonderfully. However, I could make stronger coffee using a regular coffee maker. The water does not get hot enough (even after warming - leaving on - for several minutes). After using it only 3 times, it won't produce coffee at all now. I am going to give it another "shot" by exchanging for replacement under warranty. I will write an updated review at that point. I really hope the next one actually works. I miss having my double shot every day.

I was very disappointed to see that upon receiving this product, it was missing its 32 ounce water tank. I contacted Overstock and they said they would ship it to me ASAP. On the day I anticipated delivery of this part, I set up the rest of the machine only to find it was also missing the 2 cup metal filter and the cappuccino tool that attaches to the steam nozzle. I am very disappointed in the quality control with this item, as well as its cleanliness. There were areas of crusty residue which were not pleasing. Instead of waiting another week, I decided to return this product for a refund.

I love my Krups esspresso machine. The only problem I have is, the on light keeps going out and coming back on. It makes great coffee.

the machine does it's job, however just as the previous comments say it is very loud. i ended up giving this to a friend as a gift and investing in another. she seems to love it though

I wish I had of read the reviews before buying this. For what should be a very simple to use expresso machine it is overly complicated and doesn't work 99%of the times. Like the others have commented - it's loud and splatters coffee everywhere when it does work. Tastes like its also burning the coffee. I expected more from KRUPS.

I just received the espresso machine last week and love it. I have never made espresso before but using the machine and making delicious lattes has been so easy. The machine leaked water the first time we used it but was easily fixed by pushing the water tank down firmly. The vibrating sound that others found so bad, I didn't see as a big deal. It also only vibrates a short time, isn't too loud and then you have your espresso. Another plus, was we received our machine in a couple days with standard shipping and it looks brand new. This machine was so worth the money. I have ordered products from Overstock before and once again they prove to be a wonderful source for quality products.

I wish I had listened to the reviews and never bought this. This was a disappointing purchase. Overstock replaced it the first time because it was under 30 days, but now I have to send it to a repair shop 90 miles away. Just like previous comments: the machine spits coffee all over the place; it is loud.

This has been a nice machine for us for the past 3 months. The base plate vibrates excessively for the short period the espresso is coming out but other than that, we like it. It is a refurbished machine but looked brand new in the box when it arrived. For the roughly $130 we saved, its worth the vibration and refurbished status.

Ditto on everything the previous reviewer said about the frothing and (no) foam, no matter what you try. I am also not a novice. There is a fix on the steaming attachment where someone said it comes off during steaming, Just make sure you really push the rubber top up hard as far as you can make it go, so it is secure. The knob is metal and gets very hot and burns fingers. It is also hard to turn (at least on mine) The water tank is now made of a kind of plastic that should be outlawed for any kind of beverage container. It is very smelly and I am sure it has to be toxic. The smell is very strong no matter how many times I have washed it. I thought the smell would fade after use and time. It still hasn't after 6 months, It also affects the taste of the coffee. I can't enjoy my morning espresso much anymore.

The espresso function is good, it does have a tendency to burn coffee if you preheat the machine like the instructions recommend. Also frothing function won't make foam! I'm not a novice and I tried multiple tricks(removing extra metal tube, submerging wand into milk as recommended, and trying to make foam regularly by bring wand to surface) to make a good cappuccino but always unable to make more than 1 mm worth of foam. While the plastic attachment makes it super easy to clean not ideal for making foam. Like cappuccinos? Better bet to purchase espresso machine with all metal frothing wand.

Wow, I got this delivered fast, I have been enjoying using this machine , for the price I paid, quality of this machine and the great espresso coffee, I got more than my monies worth. I recommend this product over any of the more expensive automatics espresso machine.

You won't find an espresso machine of this quality at a lower price. That being said, there are a few malfunctions with my machine. Sometimes water leaks out over the coffee holder. Also, the milk warmer/frother attachment has a tendency to burst off while being used, causing a splattering of milk all over the counter and myself. Other than a few mishaps though, I have been happy with my purchase, and when it works, it makes an excellent cappuccino, latte and espresso. It's definitely worth the money.

The Krups espresso machine makes great espressos and it cleans up easily. Our problem with the unit is that it failed after only 3 and a half months. That was shortly after the refurbished espresso machines warantee expired. While using the unit an internal seal popped sending espresso and hot water pouring out of the unit. After that if you tried to use the unit again it would start off okay, then pop and do the same thing over. I would recommend another you look for another espresso maker, but if you decide to buy this one you should think about the 2 year warrantee.

This makes okay espresso and cappuccino, but it doesn't seem very powerful and the frother attachment does not froth the milk very well though it does heat it up. I had a machine that I bought from ***** that finally quit on me and I guess it really spoiled me. This was a refurbished machine so I don't know if that is the problem, but I am not impressed with this one.

This is a very sturdy machine and well worth the cost. I have used KRUPS for 30+ years and this one is not a disappointment. Although it was "refurbished" it came complete and appeared to be new. I had an issue with it at first and believe there must have been packing material or something caught in the vents. After using several times, it works great and makes wonderful espresso. The cost was exceptional and I also bought one for a gift. Thanks.

I was very pleased how quickly my espresso maker arrived, especially with how little was charged for the shipping. I love just about everything about this machine. It makes a great cup of espresso! The only problem my machine has is that the steamer nozzle shoots off while steaming milk. And when it does, it splashes the hot milk all over everything near it. I have had to put a hose clamp on it to keep it from doing that. Otherwise, it's a great machine.

I got this as a Christmas present for my mom. The machine looks wonderful on the counter. It is very easy to use, I didn't even have to read the instructions. If you've ever been to a coffee shop what to do is pretty much self explanatory. But you want to know about the coffee. Yes. It makes great coffee !! I am a coffee lover and not easy to please. My only regret is not buying one for myself! :) - So far, no manufacturing issues.

makes a lot of noise while it is in operation mode for the minute it takes to make a cup. have not used the steamer noozle. my only complaint is the temperature...wish the represso came out hotter!

I recieved this as a Christmas gift. I love having it to make latte on the weekend. However as it is brewing the espresso, it leaks considerably at the right front corner where 2 plastic pieces meet.
