Horrible waste of money
This is only a review of the product itself, as I didn't buy it from Overstock. I have to chime in and agree with some of the other folks reviewing this product - it does the same thing to us! Faulty lid sometimes causes the coffee to flow out over the top of the carafe, all over the counter and floor (love the story about the open drawer). Difficult to fill water reservoir, and it doesn't actually make the amount of coffee it claims. This is a design disaster - not sure what happened to Krups as we've enjoyed their products in the past with no problems. Please do yourself a favor and spend your money on a different coffee maker.

Fine
The coffee maker is very nicely designed and brews good coffee. It is loud, espically at the end of the brew. The pouring isn't great. If you go really slow it is fine, but it is easy to spill. I use a seperate pitcher to fill the unit with water because it is hard to fill with the caraffe.

worst coffee maker ever
I would have given it no stars if that was an option. It leaks! Often and without discernible reason. The flapper valve on the bottom of the basket sticks. It is very difficult to fill since the opening in the reservoir is at the back of the machine and the lid won't open for easy access. I used it for two months and have given up and ordered a Bunn.

Pretty but hard to use
This is a very sturdy and handsome coffee maker. and it will probably last for years. Krups coffee makers are very durable. But, it's hard to use. It's very hard to fill. I have to use my teapot with spout or a funnel to fill without spilling into the area where you put the coffee. The top of the carafe is tricky to put on and off. Pouring from the carafe is not smooth. I will probably keep it since i know all it's little problems, but it would be hard to explain to someone else how to fill it and pour.

Poor design & quality
After having my previous Krups for 7 yrs. I thought I would replace it with another. Mistake!! The water reservoir is very difficult to fill and the carafe is very poorly designed and constructed. The flap on the bottom of the carafe lid would sometimes not open and would cause the coffee to go all over the floor and counter. My favorite time was when my husband left a drawer slightly open and it filled with coffee. What a mess!! My husband removed the flap to eliminate that problem but the coffee does not stay as hot. Actually the coffee never seems as hot as it should be. Now the handle or tab on the top of the carafe has broken. I'm extremely disappointed in this coffee maker!! Don't waste your money on this junk!!

Krups Coffeemaker
I am very pleased with this coffeemaker. It does live up to my expectations and the coffee is very hot. The thermal pot keeps the coffee hot for hours. I have always found Krups coffeemakers to be the best and this did not disappoint me.

Good Value
I ordered the Krups coffe maker because of their reputation as decent coffeemakers and because the overstock customer reviews were good. It met my expectations. It is durable, nice looking, and makes fantastic coffee. The instructions that come with the maker leaves no misunderstanding for how to use it.. I am very happy I bought it!

Great Looks..BUT
For the price, this is a piece of junk!The first pot of coffee I made ended up on the counter top and floor because of a plastic flapper valve on the bottom side of the carraff lid that stayed closed. The next few tries didn't end up much better.Finally, after removing the flapper valve, the machine brewed a drinkable pot of coffee. Removing the flapper valve compromised the intregrity of the carraff and allowed the coffee to cool rather quickly.I do no believe the brew temperature is any where close to the optimum 200F degrees required to get the most from the coffee grind used.The coffee maker did not include a water filter. Since I use filtered water, this was a mute point to me.Finally, I purchased the two year warrenty offered, and have yet to see it.
