10 cup programmable deluxe coffee maker, easy steps to making coffee, has water filter to remove impurities so coffee will taste better,has a pause so you can fill your cup while pot is still brewing, automatically shuts off. Does not make coffee as quickly as my Bunn coffee maker did.
This coffee maker is exactly what I wanted. My last coffee maker was a Krups Thermal and I had it for years. When it finally brewed it's last cup, I knew I wanted another thermal coffee maker. With the thermal, once the coffee is brewed it does not continue to 'cook' on the hot plate. This coffee maker is great. I love the look of the stainless on the white. It brews great coffee. The swing out coffee filter is very convenient. And because it's thermal, every cup tastes as good as the first. The thermal keeps the coffee hot for a very long time. Overall, great machine.
I had a wonderful Krups Pro Aroma that made perfect coffee, but stopped working after six years. This machine makes flat tasting coffee. The problem is the temperature of the water as it fills the brew basket,.It is anywhere from 158 to 168 degrees. Ideal is closer to 200 degrees. It does not fully extract at the low temp and there is nowhere to raise the temp. It has no place to make adjutments. This has nothing to do with the fact there is no burner under the carafe. This is about the temp of the water coming out of the machine to brew the coffee. Really a disappointment.
