Not Up With Krups
The first few weeks I used my Krups tea kettle were wonderful. It heated the water so quickly and quietly. Then the on/off switch decided to act fickle. It would toggle to ON if it were pressed/jiggled just right. Eventually, it decided to remain off. It's been sitting on the counter collecting dust. I would return for refund, but cannot find my paperwork. I purchased Krups because I thought it was a good product, now I wish I had opted for a lesser expensive model.

Doesn't heat fast
I bought this as a gift for our son for Christmas. We have one in black and it is amazingly fast in heating water for our French Press. But this one is so slow my son has gone back to using his tea kettle.

This is the BEST kettle I have ever owned. I LOVE this kettle. It is VERY fast and always dependable. . It has been problem free for the 2 1/2 years I have had it. I would unhesitatingly recommend this product to anyone. My only wish is that Krups would make it in the brushed stainless again instead of just black or white. Been trying to buy another one for a gift for the last 2 years but no success yet

Krups Electric Kettle
I've had my kettle for several years. This is a quality unit that heats water very fast. Its faster than the cheaper kettles that you can get here. Whats an extra 20.00 over 10 years? If it speeds up your cooking time, great. I like to use it to boil water for tea, instant potatoes. I will also boil water in this and transfer to a saucepan to cook pasta. I am sorry that the other person got a bum machine. My experience was been a happier one. Hint: Sometimes I will de-scale my machine with vinegar (like I do my coffee maker)
