This part was not included in the drain installation package I ordered for my rectangular Kraus glass vessel sink. When the sink was installed without it, it was wobbly, so I called overstock and they said that this ring is not a required part for the large sinks. So I went ahead and ordered one anyway and glad that I did. It does raise the sink up a little above the countertop, but it is now more stable and I think it makes the sink look better. So, while it's not necessary I would recommend getting one, especially if your sink wobbles.
The sinks are beautiful and they look awesome in our newly remodeled bathroom. It really has a touch of elegance. The vessel sinks and the new faucets along with the mounting rings fit perfectly. It really looks great on top of the new vanity. Loved the prices overstock has and I would recommend the site to anyone. .

Since this is the first vessel sink mounting ring I've ever needed, I can't compare this to other mounting rings. But, if a mounting ring can be beautiful, this one is. I'm very impressed by the quality. Since I have not yet installed the sink, I cannot speak to ease of installation, but I don't anticipate any problems with this given my experience with other Kraus products.

Kraus is a very good name in plumbing. I needed this for a sink that I was having mounted on an old buffet in a master bath. My plumber found it to be exactly what we needed for the project, and it was of very good quality!

The seating ring kit is well designed and is fitting very well with the glass bowl vessel that made the rehabilitation of my bathroom a little more easier.

While this mounting ring works well and does the job, I am going to have to order a different one. I ordered oil rubbed bronze to match the other fixtures in my new bathroom and the mounting ring is actually just black. It doesn't have even the barest hint of bronze what so ever and actually just looks like a hunk of metal that's been painted black (unless you touched it, you might even think it was a hunk of rubber). If your other fictures have a brushed finish or have that bit of bronze peaking at the edges, this will not match. A real disappointment, although not overstock's fault. I'll reorder the vintage bronze and hope for the best.
