Don't Waste Your Money
This is a great idea but the product was not built to work the way the idea suggests. The plates don't heat up enough to cook foods - I found that most of the time I was "boiling" things like steak or chops instead of grilling them because the equipment didn't get hot enough. There is no way of controling the temperature - it's either on or off. Cooking times listed in the booklet that comes with the grill are not long enough to cook the foods. The different cooking plates do switch out easily and once you get the hang of securing them they do stay in place nicely and they clean up easily - they just don't cook the way I thought they would. This was a very disappointing purchase.

This is a total piece of crap - Don't buy it, don't !!, June 26, 2010 This review is from: Total Chef TCG08G-CA 4IN1 Sandwich, Waffle, Grill & Griddle (Kitchen) I used the grill plates twice and the Non-stick coating peeled off. I thought I would try one more burger on the grill plates just an hour ago and this time the burger stuck fast to the "Non-stick" surface and to clean the stuck burger will probably result in another large area peeling off. I contacted Koolatron after the plates peeled but they never gave me the courtesy of a reply. A total waste of my retirement money. I give it no stars (though I had to click 1 star to complete this review) but feel they owe me 6 stars.Total Chef TCG08G-CA 4IN1 Sandwich, Waffle, Grill & Griddle
