I bought this dishwasher because the apartment I live in does not have one and I figured this would be the most convenient one to purchase. Simply because it sits on the counter top and doesn't take up much room. Well I got it and on the first day i used it, it completely stopped working! I had to send it back and they sent me another one. Well I got a new one and finally was able to use it! The good things about it was I finally got my dishwasher and it was able to sit on the counter and not be in the way! The bad things about it was the cycles took way too long for something so small! You can't put pots or pans in it. It was really loud, and the amount of dishes i was able to fit inside of it weren't anymore then i could just hand wash myself! So ultimately I sent it back. I decided that it wasn't worth it because i could hand wash dishes way faster then waiting two hours for a small load to wash then waiting another couple hours for another load! I have a family of four, and unless you are a single person or maybe even just two people, I wouldn't recommend it!
My boyfriend & I are now empty nesters. This is the perfect dishwasher for the two of us. It holds a couple of days worth of our dishes minus pots & pans (which I never ran thru a dishwasher anyway). The only suggestion I would make to its designers is adding a retractable hose or at least a bracket to wrap it around. I just wished they were making these when my grandparents were alive. It would've been perfect for them.
This little dishwasher is amazing! It does take a bit of creativity to load but it will hold a lot! It cleans wonderfully. I had a badly stained tea cup that I usually soak in vinegar or use baking soda. It was spotless when it came out of the dishwasher! Attachment to the faucet is easy. The cords and hoses are of sufficient length and easily stored. I am so glad I made this purchase!
This little dishwasher does wonders!!!Even though, we had a hard time to find a connector(we rent and the faucet is too old, newer ones should be fine without one) for it as soon as we bought it, once we got it working it was a breeze. It is pretty big but not very roomy inside, I have to organize everything inside very well or it will barely fit a pan and 2 plates, once you get the organization down you gotta love this baby!It makes a lot of noise for a small dishwasher but really, I don't do dishes before going to bed, so for me it's really not a big deal.It works really, really well and cleans everything and you don't even need to rinse, which is perfect for me.Somehow, we managed to lose one part of the connector, we called Koldfront trying to order the part we lost and they kindly replaced it for free, we didn't even need to pay for shipping so kudos for them,I would DEFINITELY recommend this dishwasher.
bought this item because of limited space. it is small, but has plenty of room to hold a lot and get the job done. i love it! easy to use and am very pleased with my purchase.
On the exterior, this dishwasher is a little larger than I'd expected (it doesn't fit under my cabinets), and it's a little less roomy on the inside than I'd expected. However, it does a good job of getting everything clean, and it's SO nice to not have to hand-wash dishes!
I ordered this for my apt. kitchen, Love it! It is perfect for one person and easy to use. Cleans really well. Shortess cycle is 70 min which is not a problem for me. I would rather have clean dishes. I would recommend highly.
I have owned this dishawasher for almost a year now and it is a piece of useless junk taking up space on my counter top! I have tried various brands of detergent and nothing helps to get the dishes clean when using this machine. I can honestly say that if I hosed my dirty dishes down with a garden hose, they would come out cleaner than if I had used this silly machine! Save your money and buy a real one. This was a waste of $xxx!
I have a small New York City kitchen, so this item didn't really fit on any counters close enough to the sink for the hose. I ended up buying a rolling cart from The Container Store (it was hard finding a low-priced cart with a surface large enough for the unit). For the first several uses, it leaked so much I had to put a puppy pad underneath to absorb the wet. I realized the problem was that my floors aren't exactly level. I shimmed the unit and haven't had any leaks since (well, a little water sometimes drips out of the connector hose once it's unplugged, but it's not a big deal). It does a fine job washing: I've put in plates and pots with minimal rinsing and they still come out clean. The dishwasher doesn't really *dry* the dishes though, but I've found if I crack the door once the cycle's finished, they more or less air dry by the next morning. The normal cycle seems to take forever (well over an hour) which is mostly annoying in that I could wash all the dishes inside myself in a quarter of the time. But I got the thing so I wouldn't have to ... All in all, it does pretty much what I need it to do with minimal hassle. Is it ideal? No. But it works.
We used to have an old one by Danby. After 3 years of faithful service, it started to leak (and short circuit). I'm sure other people more adept at repairing things than I could easily have fixed this problem, but as it was, we had to get rid of it. After a few months when the dishes threatened to kill us, we finally bought this. I researched this a lot and reviews were mixed, some said it was the next best thing to ice cream, others were much less impressed. I fall in between (maybe more toward the under-impressed side) PROS: It does clean. It's useful. CONS: The cycles are super long-- even the rapid wash takes 77 minutes. Everything else and you're looking at 2+ hours! Then it does this really odd thing where it just stops for a VERY long time. But don't be fooled, it has not finished, it's just taking this long to do something....then it will start again...and stop...and start again. When the thing finally beeps, that's when you know it's done. It took us several washings before we finally realized our mistake. It's also super loud. I'm positive our old Danby wasn't this loud! It's also poorly designed. The dish tray (which is very cheap feeling) is strangely raised up so it doesn't hold as much as the Danby. For example, we used to be able to put a pasta strainer above the smaller dishes in the old Danby, that is definitely possible with this little guy. Meanwhile, despite being raised up, the dish tray still allows our plates to drop down too far into the washer, preventing the spray arm from turning. So for awhile, we couldn't wash any dinner plates in this washer! Luckily, we kept our old dish tray and it fit a bit snugly in this machine. All in all, it just seems like the machine was badly designed. The spray arm protrudes upwards way too much... Despite all that, we kept it because after putting in our old tray and making some adjustments to it, it seems to be working well and a poor dishwasher is better than no dishwasher (at least for us).
I hate washing dishes, and as a single person, this is just the ticket!
I ordered this dishwasher over two weeks ago and in that time I have already had to get a replacement. I really do wish this product worked, as I have had good luck in the past with similar dishwashers. Customer Service for the manufacturer is very difficult to contact and often fails to return calls and emails. Clearly there is little in the way of quality assurance as each washer I've received has had a different issue that prevents it from working. My suggestion, get a different product, this one has only been one problem after another...
This little guy is fabulous! Once you learn to load it, it really holds a lot. It has made my life soooooo much better!
This is the least expensive countertop dishwasher I found due to Overstocks freight policy. It is simple to operate. If you forget the settings are printed on the door. It seems to draw very little power. The water connect leave something to be desired. How about an aerator for the quick connect? That would have been thoughtful. So far the dishes have all been clean if not completely dry. The cup holder portion is useless for american coffee cups. I use it for large utinsels. If you have the counterspace this is a good dishwasher.
Positives: fits great in a house too small for a full-size portable; gets dishes pretty clean; very economical water use; no leaks; nice selection of controls; hose pops on and off the sink quite easily. Negatives: About an inch too short for standard dinner plates to stand upright. You can put them in at an angle, but that prohibits you from washing very many dishes in that load. Also, it takes a very long time to run; even the economy cycle is an hour and a half long. Overall, since we expected a dishwasher that did its job and not much more, we're quite happy with this and even thinking of hard-plumbing it in. Compared with the horrible reviews I read of some other brands, I think we got a pretty good deal for this one.
This is so convenient to place anywhere. It cleans dishes very well.
