The first and only time I it used it, I put it in microwave at 2 minutes, as recommended 2-5. At 1:34 it caught fire. My microwave burned. I was standing by the microwave the entire time.. If I had moved away my house may have gone up in flames! I suggest that Overstock quits selling this item! IT IS DANGEROUS!!Read More

I mis-read the description and didn't realize that this is a SINGLE serving container. It is very small. I owned a microwave popcorn popper that is comparable to a medium bag like at the movies (somewhere around 3 6-ounce servings). Thanks to the hubby's love for popcorn, it went south (but after almost 3 years of almost weekly use). This little unit is good for watching carbs I suppose, but I would not buy it again.Read More
This is a nice little device, perfect for a single serving. I use it daily to make a fast, fresh, healthy snack in a reasonable portion. It works for me!Read More
Take note, this is a SINGLE serving popper. I knew this when I bought it so was not disappointed in the size. We have used it 4 times and only once got a perfect batch--however, only about 1/2 of the kernels popped. That is not necessarily the popper. My guess is the popcorn. We will be trying a different brand, The hot kernels have pitted the container which is to be expected because it's plastic. Bottom line: it's okay but nobody is willing to toss out the microwave bag popcorn yet.Read More
The first time I used the popper, I followed the directions of cooking the popcorn 5 minutes and it burned all of the popcorn. The popper cleaned up well, but don't use the directions included. My microwave is mid strength and I only cook 2 minutes maximum. Listen for the popping and time accordingly.Read More

Lost my directions. How much oil and popcorn do I put in well.
Hi gypsybell12, after reviewing with our support staff we found that for oil-popped popcorn you will need 0.5 teaspoon of oil and 2 tablespoons of popping corn and for air-popped corn simply add 2 tablespoons of popping corn. I hope this helps, thank you for shopping with us.

Microwave Buying Guide
Microwaves have become one of the most essential kitchen appliances. They're designed to make our lives easier by shortening prep and cook times. Microwaves make defrosting foods easy and warming up leftovers temptingly fast. This microwave buying guide will guide you through the features and options available, so you can choose the best microwave oven for your kitchen.
How to Install a Built-in Microwave
Microwaves are a kitchen staple. They offer convenience, no residual heat from cooking and, when compared with an oven or range, efficiency. With so much going for them, it's no surprise microwaves are so popular. If there was ever a drawback to having a microwave oven in the kitchen, it was that the appliance claimed too much valuable countertop real estate. But ever since microwave ovens were made to be installed over the range, that dilemma has ceased to exist. Installing a built-in microwave is really not that difficult, but what many people don't realize is that they need a dedicated 20-amp circuit installed in the cabinet directly above the microwave oven for the installation to be up to code. If you're not comfortable running your own circuit, hire a qualified electrician for the job. Once you have the circuit installed, you can then install a built-in microwave.
How to Tell If Something Is Microwave Safe
Many bowls and plates are considered microwave safe; however, if you use the wrong dish, you could ruin both the dinnerware and the dinner. Microwaves are convenient appliances, but there are a few precautions you should know about when it comes to your dishes. Always check to see if a dish is microwave safe before using it in the microwave. Some containers can break, melt or scald you. Some containers can also damage your microwave, such as foil-lined containers. Microwave-safe dishes can be used to both cook and store food. Non-microwave safe containers can only be used for storage or serving.
How to Care for Nonstick Cookware
If you're looking for a way to make your food healthier, then nonstick cookware might be for you. It has a special coating that can make your cooking healthier by reducing the amount of fat and oil you need to use in your cooking. A nonstick coating also makes it easier to clean your pots and pans, and it's the best way to cook delicate food, like eggs. However, improper care can ruin the nonstick coating, which causes foods to stick, makes cleaning more difficult, and reduces the life span of your cookware.
