i grew up with a Kitchenaid mixer! My mom was basically a pastry chef and I don't remember not having one ! When the estate was dissolved I asked repeatedly what had happened to the mixer! I was told that it was thrown away, and I asked why? I was told because it "was old"! That broke my heart and as I watched my little girl grow up I undersold her dreams of owning one! This price allowed me to make her dream come true as well as my own! Refurbished, yet flawless! I wavered only at the color as she always wanted red yet she is totally a pink girl! The cranberry was gorgeous! I did buy the Kitchensid cover in red so all is right with the world! Perhaps it's the years but when I took it out of the box it felt heavier than my moms! I knew I had history and tradition back in my hands! What a beautiful appliance! My moms churned out delights for about 50 years! I cannot wait to see what my daughter accomplishes!
