I was so happy when I received my mixer I scheduled a night in with a friend to bake cupcakes. Unfortunately, the mixer would not even turn on. After 4 hours on the phone with kitchenaid customer service, and another 30 min chatting with Overstock we decided it was DEAD! Overstock emailed me a shipping label, I drove it to a shipping center, and now am waiting 60-90 days for my refund....waiting....When I talked to the Overstock.com representative she said "well....it's refurbished....that's one of the "things" when you buy refurbished." What things???? Grrrrrr....

I love it! This is the second Kitchen Aid appliance that I bought refurbished at Overstock. Both are perfect. This mixer looks previously used, but it only has very few scratches inside the bowl, everything else is perfect. The product itself is amazing, very powerful and quite. I never had anything like this machine. I m so happy with my purchase. The price? Wow I believe it was at least 40% less than a new one!

I love it! It's great! I have an Artisan KitchenAid, which is also great, but this 6 qt is terrific! I can fit so much more into the bowl. The flat beater did start rubbing off black stuff after I washed it a couple times. Not sure what it was, but I just scrubbed it off until no more black stuff came off. Haven't had any issues with it since!

i am so happy about this purchase. i was a little concerned about spending this much money on a used mixer but it turned out to be a great choice. the finish is very beautiful and the whole thing looks close to brand new. the mixer was shipped within a week which was surprising to me and i was able to track it the whole way here. i am very satisfied so far and hope to continue to be. thanks!

I used a hand mixer before, having this piece at home make my cooking easy... now I multitask. Got the attachment for grinding and make my own burgers and mix them with my spices easier. Been doing my own cookies, since is hard as diabetic to find sugar free treats and is so easy for a guy to use it! Just follow directions.

Didn't last a week without major problems. Lift lever broke- have to use a bowl to raise mixer bowl. Have to turn on and off to get electrical connection to work. I understand why its a refurbished.

Although right after buying this refurb'd Pro600 mixer I saw a new 550 model at Costco for the same price, I am not unhappy. This mixer is a workhorse, and compliments my 300 model nicely. First thing was to make a huge batch of cupcakes, and the 6 qt bowl was a godsend! The refurb unit works great and looks great. I've heard tell that buying a refurb unit is the way to go, as it goes through testing and inspection that new models don't. One store employee was quoted as saying that he got frequent returns on new mixers, but *never* on a refurb. I believe it. I love it. The only odd thing is why the refurbs don't include the pour guard (it's pictured, but it only comes with new product). So, I had to spend $20 at Amazon to get one. Why cheap out on *that*? Whatever, it's still a bargain, but that really is annoying. They should at least include a half-off coupon or something. So, buy this refub'd mixer. You'll love it.

I have been wanting to have one of these for years. I was thrilled to get it and as I have been using it I began to realize that the noise in speed 1 was not normal - it comes and goes. I started checking and when I move the shaft by hand, there is a clicking noise inside. ALSO, I switched the mixer off the other day and when I went to take the beater off...the machine started and nearly took my hand off. I have noticed since then that the switch is not right, either. I knew that this was a REFURBISHED MACHINE and I expected that the machine went back for repair and was fully checked and put back in working condition BEFORE being boxed up and sent out again. Call me crazy, but I really thought that a refurbished machine was sure to be good because someone at the factory actually made sure everything was good while 'REFURBISHING' it.

I choose the one because it came with a splash guard and when I received it there was no splash guard. If it doesn't come with one you should change the picture. Otherwise I love my new mixer.
