After burning out my old, cheap food processor by trying to make bread dough in it, I was searching for a quality, powerful food processor with a large capacity -- and finding that they were all VERY expensive. But Overstock came through with a refurbished model for little more than half the full price of a brand-new one. I've put this food processor through its paces: made a lot of bread dough, chopped vegetables, nuts, and herbs. You wouldn't know it's refurbished. It looks and works like new. The motor is incredibly quiet compared to my old processor -- more of a hum than a roar. Chopping, mixing, and kneading are done in seconds. Then I put bowl, lid, and blade/disc in the dishwasher (top rack) for super-simple cleanup. Many trips through the dishwasher and everything still looks like new. All pieces were included: regular bowl, lid, and feed tube cover that lets you use a narrower tube if you want; discs for shredding, thick and thin slicing; regular steel blade and plastic dough blade; mini bowl and mini steel blade. The description did not mention the shredding/slicing discs, so I'd assumed they weren't included -- but they were. Discs and blades come in a plastic box for storage -- a nice touch; they won't rattle around in your cupboards. The photo accurately reflects the Empire Red color -- a happy, bright red. I love it in my kitchen. Buying refurbished was a great choice for my budget, and I got a high-quality food processor that might as well be brand new. If buying brand new is out of your budget, don't hesitate to buy refurbished. In my experience, you'll save money without sacrificing quality. And if you make a lot of bread at home, or do a lot of slicing/chopping, this food processor will save you so much time and hassle. I'm so glad I bought it!

This is the best food processor I have ever owned! It is very powerful, quiet and efficient. Very easy to use. This product definately lives up to Kitchen Aid's excellent reputation. Nice selection of accessories are included.

The product stopped working the 4th time I used it....I called the manufacturer and they have wonderful customer service and sent me a replacement asap.........I am worried it will happen to this one....I don't feel secure..........

If you cook and bake you will appreciate this processor. First and foremost it is a KitchenAid. Secondly this baby is built like a Mack truck! Excellent quality. It is BIG! Very quiet! The day after I got it, I put it to the test using the bread paddle for making Sun Dried Tomato Herb bread. It cut my hands-on prep time in half. The color is great and I consider this my Valentine to myself. Refurbished! Yes, someone ordered it or maybe got it as a gift and promply returned it - and I get $50 off! The mini basket is great for smaller jobs. This processor in my opinion is professional grade. I would recommed to anyone!

The food processor grates cheese without slowing down like my old one did and the 12-cup capacity makes it so nice not to have to empty the bowl between grating different veggies for salsa or cabbage. It is a good-looking appliance and I especially love the red color. Really glad I bought it!

I do like this food processor becasue it works very smooth and quiet. The color is so nice matching up with my stand mixer (same color) There is one thing I would complain is that it does spill out a little bit. For example, I use this food processor for making almod flour, there were some small crumbs came out on the table. That's fine for me and I don't know if it's normal compare to other food processors. I would recommend this food processor to my friends. It's very good one. I enjoy it.
