It was my first Kitchen Aid appliance, and even thought it is refurbished I can't really tell you the difference. Came in the original package, no scratches at all, and works perfectly. I was very skeptical about purchasing something that was re furbished but I am glad i purchased this item. It weighs as much as the stand mixers do which tells me that the motor is substantial. I trust the KitchenAid products. I have never been dis satisfied.

This machine works as well as described. I am very happy with my purchase and have been very pleased with everything I have made with the machine. Mixing pastry, shredding, slicing and even grating fine crumb has been a breeze. Now I want the smaller bowl to use with this machine! Clean up is so easy and it takes little storage space.

I was a bit wary of buying refurbished, no need, this Kitchen Aid looks and runs as well as my out of the box stand mixer. Be aware that this model has only one speed, on, off or pulse.

Big enough to hold the full recipe, runs quiet and is easy to disassemble for dishwasher clean up. Very pleased with this purchase.

This is not the large 11 cup model you see on Cook's Country /America's Test Kitchen TV shows , but has just as solid,heavy, and stable a base unit. It would seem a larger processing bowl could be used if you could get one as an accessory. A smaller mini bowl would be nice too. The 6 cup capacity is big enough for most uses like a 2 crust batch of pie dough which it made in about 10 seconds! It takes way longer to clean than the processing time needed, although that is easy enough as everything disassembles just fine. No evidence that this was a Refurbished unit as it functions perfectly. It does come with the shaft and reversible slice and dice blade which will be very useful. There are lower priced units out there but I think this thing will last a lifetime! Good value!
